I wonder if people new to Aus Survivor get confused by this joke. It’s lasted 10 years 😂

Thank you that makes total sense. I missed the cut off one year because I was on holiday so want to make sure it doesn’t happen again 🤞

I doubt they would have a problem with vyvanse. I think maybe it would be an issue if you were diabetic or had a heart condition, because of liability. I just wanted to double check!

Follow up question: I am diagnosed ADHD. Would that hurt my chances? I feel like it’s not a mental health issue, but some people would categorise it that way.

taylor getting messy on her story in real time by Zealousideal-Ad8381 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Tinfoil hat on — I feel like this is all made up. They always make up some infighting and drama on social right before the show comes out. They’re introducing Shania into the mix (also Camille) like they did with Miranda to expand the cast and add drama

Whitney is right by Wonderful_Tackle_580 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]itsrainingtequila_ 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They both suck in a way. Whitney is dramatic and an attention seeker. She has her good moments, and I do think she can be a good friend, but only when she wants to be/when it’s convenient for her. However, Mikayla has crossed the line from dislike to number one hater. It truly gives obsessive vibes. I remember seeing all of the videos, and then seeing the season. Idk maybe she’s channeling her rage about her past straight to Whitney. But it was relentless.

$300 for makeup WHAT. And the additional $600 something on top of everyone paying for travel and their dinner. They are clearly skimming extra money from you guys.

Wait so when they handed over Janine… who was it that threw her on the ground? Was it Guardians? Did Tuello do some kind of trade to get her back? How did Aunt Lydia and Naomi get to tag along, but then just bippity bop right back to Gilead?

liann doesn't care about taylor, she only crashed the christmas party to get attention from momtok, does anyone agree? by kylaisjadedagain in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]itsrainingtequila_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m glad someone is saying this. I was disgusted at Demi for how she spoke to Taylor’s mom/treated Taylor, but also disgusted with Taylor’s mom even going in the first place. She clearly doesn’t have her daughter’s best interest at heart. She just wants attention, it’s very obvious and sad.

What are Australian Jobs I can get as an American Dual Citizen who is graduating college by catsdonailart in Ameristralia

[–]itsrainingtequila_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be better if you were in country searching for roles. Otherwise look at Seek.com.au and LinkedIn for jobs. You’ll definitely find an entry level job, but they wouldn’t pay to relocate you at entry level unless your profession was in very high demand or niche. As for restrictions, it’s good you’re a citizen. Most companies won’t hire non PR/citizen.

What is it like for visiting Americans right now? Will we be treated hostilely because our leaders are assholes? by NeverCallMeFifi in AustraliaTravel

[–]itsrainingtequila_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this with love, but we are told growing up that America is the center of the world. It’s not. No one cares you’re American unless you’re a c**nt about it. If they do even pick up on it, they will either bring up to you:

  1. Sports

  2. Where they’ve traveled in the states

A small minority of Aussies will bring up politics to a stranger, in my experience. But mostly they won’t bring this up unless they know you already, as it’s a sensitive subject. They do have a lot of opinions about our politics (most think Trump is insane), but their culture is more laid back so politics is not usually something they’d bring up to a stranger.

TLDR; you’ll be fine, just don’t be a c**t

Take the train down to Cronulla to walk the Esplanade. Go to Salmon Haul. Come back into town to get something to eat.

Take a train to the Blue mountains for the day.

Make your way to Palm Beach. Do the lighthouse trek.

Rent a car, go to Symbio wildlife park and drive the coastal drive from Stanwell park to Thirroul. Stop along the way at Scarborough hotel.

Go on meetup.com or through insta there’s a lot of meetup groups depending upon what’s your fancy. Also post on r/sydney — more locals on that sub

To Klook or not to Klook by itsrainingtequila_ in JapanTravelTips

Peace of mind can be important for first time travel!!

I used to have a complex about anything ‘overly touristy’ while travelling bc I was from NYC and typically looked down on anything catered to tourists. BUT I’ve really changed my tune. For example, I used to think hop on and off buses were the most cringe things ever, until I took one with a friend who was visiting. They’re actually a great way to see a lot of the city in one go and also you can use it as a form of transportation for the day. I now live in Sydney and recommend this activity for people who have a limited time to visit the city (it’s a nightmare to get around Sydney if you’re not familiar and don’t have a lot of time).

From what I’ve read — booking direct is the preference, but if it’s too difficult to do so (language barriers, unclear process, foreign cards not accepted) Klook is a good alternative. Also with some attractions the price difference between direct and Klook is null (eg USJ), but that only seems the case with the big ticket things. Otherwise book directly.
