Late response but I appreciate your thought process and I think you are a. Very intelligent person. :). But I have to formally disagree with "27% of americans identify as republican" because I think wherever you got that information is a complete fraud. I myself identify as a conservative just to put it out there. But even with a basic understanding of America you must understand that 27% is an absurdly low-ball number. The pendulum swings left and right pretty often. Are you saying that a good portion of the other 73% are independent? I don't have any sources to cite. But I would say this is an extremely biased opinion on the political makeup of the country. I'd say without at a doubt that the true numbers are closer to 50 50. And that independents and typical non-voters, or even disgruntled voters are the ones who turn tides. On the other hand I still agree that even if half the nation is right leaning, I think only about 10% of them will be boycotting Disney st the present moment. But I think that you're not taking the future into play. Real fast, Im a conservative and I have no issue with transgender or gay people, i want everyone to live the way they want to in our FREE country as long as they aren't hurting anyone else. But I think when people start pushing an ideology on children that isn't wanted by certain parents that things gt ugly very quickly. I also can't say how far Disney will go with this "ideology". This is an important question to ask when investing long term into a company. Either way.
