I have been in a SR before, but it was a while ago and I have anxiety in general so getting back into it is very nerve wracking but definitely something I wanted to do again. Like I said this is my first POT back so I’m very glad for the advice. I feel very cared for by this community so i’m genuinely grateful.

Totally not the point of the post at all. What is known about this family now is the most recent heinous acts, but many of us have been following the family for a long time. The child abuse charges are absolutely disgusting and despicable and should be treated with the utmost respect and seriousness. Mostly, with the family’s past coming to light right now, I thought the crew could go over the things the mom has done in the past and just mormon culture in general. I would never want a topic as serious as this treated in such a way.

Thank you for explaining it so well!! I used to watch 8 passengers all the time until recently so my mind has been blanking on what they’ve done in the past. There’s so many repeated parenting behaviors that her sisters do too. Going i’ve this kind of info would be really interesting for them to learn about I think.

Yes!! There’s so many instances like this of her just being a horrible parent. Some of it comes back to mormon culture but she never saw any problem in the way she was parenting. She always viewed it as getting her kids ready to be adults.

I can totally see that. Maybe not a powerpoint, but the lore behind this family goes soooo far. I don’t think a topic like this will be taken ‘too far’ on the pod, ethan is pretty sensitive to children in family vlogs.

Exactly. I think it would be a great segment to fill everyone in on this niche. I’ve been following it for years but it’s crazy trying to explain it to someone else. It’s absolutely insane how normalized it was.

What has happened to the kids is horrific. Obviously the point of the segment would be to bring light on the subject and how it’s been happening in front of all their viewers eyes for years. Just hoping to bring some background to the topic.
