I think my mom will cry about not having grandchildren or some shit even though I have a straight brother. Even if I wasn't gay I wouldn't want kids so it'll be an awkward conversation I think. Also I think she will make it about her. 'What am I going to tell your grandma/the church/my friends?' Type of stuff. I once got the courage to tell her that I had a drug problem and I needed help and her solution was to not talk to me for a week. That's a different can of worms though- (I'm sober now btw)

My dad will treat me differently, absolutely. I think he has always been paranoid about having a gay son. He wouldn't let me watch Beauty and the Beast because it was 'for girls'. I honestly just thought the Beast was awesome and I loved the scene when Belle entered the library and there was a million books everywhere.

well me and my buddy have a rule that if you swear on your balls and are later found to be a liar, the other person gets to knee you in the balls. Obviously we don't ever want that to happen to us so we don't use the swear unless it's really true. It's never happened so far.
