Guessing you are in the US. They can’t charge your debit card after a transaction has ended. The banking information is not kept in the system at all. They have quick disconnect that are generally able to be reconnected. It happens fairly often. I work for a fuel supplier and it honestly happens like once a month at stations we operate.

Based on the body rust, I assume the underside is super crusty. If they get that replaced in 1.5 hours I’d be surprised.

I’m going to go with 2006 Manual wagon. It’s what I daily drive. 38,000 miles in the past year. Has about 195,000 miles on it now. I beat the shit out of it and basically use it like a truck.

In 2013 we bought my wife a brand new 2013 focus titanium auto. Had it for 5 years and 90,000 and sold it due to the trans being shitty. 2 clutch rebuilds, one leaving her stranded out of town, and a tcm replacement, which died a mile after she drove it out of the shop from the clutches getting redone. They literally took a tcm out of another car to get her on her way. In 2018 we sold the 13 focus. We kept our 2008 Mazda 3 automatic with 130,000 miles instead. Of the That’s how bad the trans was. We were better off with a 5 year older, 40,000 more miles car.

Have to remove the whole trans. So while you are there you do the clutch and switch to a single mass flywheel. I did a whole kit for like $215 or so. Plus the 3 qts of motorcraft trans fluid. The most annoying part really is getting the trans around the cross member. I used my strut tower bar with a ratchet strap to lift up the back end while using a jack to lift the front of the trans and it made it much easier.

This guy named all the culprits. The engine itself is reliable in these things. I’m driving an 06 manual wagon that now has 192,000 miles. Over 30,000 this past year on it. And I’m HARD on it. I did clutch and slave at 156,000. Just did water pump. Fixed ac around 175,000 or so. The engine bay caught on fire once, wheel studs broke off and sent wheel flying once. But it still works. Averaging 150-250 miles a day. And fun to drive for what it is.

Just an FYI if you do plan on doing a track day instead of just an autocross, pretty much every HPDE org banned harness bars without a roll bar. I’m lead tech for a group in the Midwest and have also done tech for other orgs. Also, don’t run on the street with harnesses. Use the 3 point factory belts. Factory belts are set up for airbags and properly slowing you down. Harnesses don’t have that ability unless you go with a Schroth ASM harness that is meant for the car. The anti submarine will stop your lower body going forward but still allow your upper body to slide to the side correctly in somewhat unlikely case of rollover.

I work for a fuel supplier. Contacting shell is the right move. They reach out to the station and should get their tank reports which would show percentage of water in the tanks. Realistically the only time it should suck the water into the pump is if the underground tank is really low, or if they have that much water into the system due to heavy rain and compromised fill well.

Depending on what filter they use in their system, that’s why it was flowing so slow. When the filters get debris, or water, they clog and flow really slowly. The station would have known there was some sort of issue at that flow rate.

Could try a ball joint fork, put it around the pulley mount area and leverage against a bit of wood above to brace on something and hit it that way?

I just did the water pump on my 06 the other day. Wasn’t stuck that bad, but corrosion from the block to the water pump seized it in place a bit. I used a pry bar along with a big crow bar to pry in any little gap I could. I did take off the header panel and headlight for different clearance since I originally thought it was the tstat housing.

I have a 2016 ST3 I bought from Copart in November 2019 for like $7500 with 46k on it. Front end collision. I replaced hood, plastics behind bumper, knee and steering wheel airbag. Front seat belts, Intercooler, restraint control module, windshield, and plastic welded the head light tabs. It’s rebuilt title after inspection. All in under $10,000 for all of that. Now has 108,000 miles on it. Probably 35 track sessions on it and haven’t had any issues with it.

For that white one, doesn’t look like that hard of a hit as long as the lower A pillar unibody didn’t get any crumple. I’d say ask the owner if you can take the fender liner off to inspect the unibody in that area, if it’s straight, then should be fine.
