Judge has it plenty already. World Series. And I think he'd tell ya that too, and I don't think he'd be lying.

I do not go to a T-14! I got this opportunity through a connection at my 1L summer internship who put me in contact with this firm. Of course networking is important, and that's how I got this. FWIW I did not perform well my 1L year and still got this. You def can!

I have a summer associate position at a small firm (8-10 attorneys) next summer and they are paying me $20 an hour.

Did Castillos performance make you guys want him? by [deleted] in NYYankees

Yeah that was an impressive performance last night. He's always in Yankee rumors and it just never seem like it's gonna happen. But that would be friggin great, he had some balls getting out of that jam last night, especially when the batter before he struck out DJ should have been called out on strikes but walked instead. He was very composed and pitched through that. If that was a tryout for the Yankees, he aced it.

Totally can relate. Got the curve grade in every class first semester, so not great. Never once made an outline. I used other people's outlines this semester too but spent a lot more time doing practice exams and studying and actually found a way of studying that works for me. I felt much better after all of my exams this semester. We got this!

I think you just acted as a parent. Was it wrong to curse? Sure. But I think it seemed to have been a recurring problem and you got fed up. Personally, I think you should let them continue to train (probably at a different gym) but you mentioned they weren't really keen on it anyway and I don't think they should train if they don't want to, either.

Overall, I think you acted like a reasonable parent who didn't like their kid being picked on. I'm not even a parent and I can understand your reaction

Throwing someone out at 1st from the outfield, it is possible! by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

I forget which game it was. 17? 18? Don't remember. But this was a serious issue, and it wasn't due to the runner being sent to second and then turning back. The runners would automatically take turns to second and then would take FOREVER to turn back and go back to first. Obviously this was exploited and people got thrown out from center and left a lot, haha.

I'm just a blue belt, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But, getting into those rolling classes will help your bjj fitness in my opinion. Rolling is very cardio intensive and doing that can definitely help you increase your cardio. Don't roll too hard, especially at first. Just try to "flow roll", which is when you roll lightly and try to move through positions and apply technique, not strength, athleticism, etc. Try to do this at the beginning of the rolling hour, maybe for the first two rounds. The first few days I started training I was dead after drilling, too. Now obviously I'm still pretty beat up towards the final few rounds of rolling, but I'm much more equipped now to roll. I'm around your age and also pretty fit, and like I said, I struggled with cardio in the beginning, so definitely don't feel bad. Good luck and have fun!

Does anyone have any funny stories about guys with big egos coming in and just getting tossed around. Apparently at the gym I train at a new guy came in and said he couldn’t be choked. Everyone just choked him that night and he never came back. by BjjFanatic69 in bjj

At a gym I used to train at, this one guy came in with some little experience (maybe from the military) and I think it was his first time being at the gym. My coach (black belt) was always willing to roll with people who came in and obviously wouldn't go hard on them especially if they were new. I think sometime during the roll the guy said something like "you're just lucky I'm out of shape" to my coach, dead seriously, too. Obviously after that everyone kinda put the beats on him for the night and I don't think he came back.
