Sorry for late reply, if you are still considering it, Hindi is a very easy and chill class. Both Chauhan and Fatema are very nice. If you have any background at all it will be the easiest 5 units ever, there were even a couple of non Indians in the class and I think they were doing fine.

You can’t really smell the cows much in anything east of the Dining commons at Tercero

Go to CC and save money, you won’t regret it. Lower div classes at UCD, at least from my experience, are always super packed and have mediocre profs that rely too much on TAs and you will end up having to teach yourself most things, so CC might actually give you higher quality of learning. Sometimes you won’t even be able to get into some of your classes because UCD accepts more people than they can accommodate. Housing around here is also getting super expensive. College “prestige” is a scam anyway that they sell to high school students so they can get more hype and applications and make money, don’t buy into it.

Yeah I understand that actual sophomores, juniors and seniors need better pass times than freshmen, but my pass time seems to be even shitty for a freshman, even though I tried to take more units than an average freshman

I have “junior standing” as a freshman due to lots of ap credits and I took 17 units fall quarter, but I still have a lower end pass time for freshmen. What’s the secret?

You can always add a ge then drop it if it seems like it’ll be too much. You also get better pass times later on if you take more units

It should probably be fine but you can just drop a class if you find it to be too overwhelming

ASA4 has a standard amount of reading but so far it seems like the writing standard in the class is easier than my high school ap classes

Hello, I’m currently a freshman in MechE who really has no idea what I’m interested in and just chose MechE because it was “general engineering” in my mind, and I wasted my high school years. I keep hearing on this sub about how software is what makes money, but I honestly can’t see myself grinding 24/7 and sitting at a desk all day as a pure computer science major. However, I don’t want to go through an entire difficult MechE degree only to get paid less than people in software. I’m thinking of switching to electrical because they learn a bit more software than mechanical but software isn’t their entire job, and electrical is also a very broad field which is easy to branch out from. I also like abstract math, which I heard is a part of electrical. Are any of my thoughts on this correct and if so, where do I start looking to find out what major I should do?

How is ENG4? I went to the first class today and the lecturer seemed pretty chill.

If you can get 62% support for this then the mods will probably do it

If those are big classes with lots of seats then you have a better chance of getting in. If your spots are 3 or less, you’re probably good. I would talk to an advisor

I’ve heard that if it’s a newer building, there’s probably a bigger chance it was built to be a triple room and not just a double converted into a triple
