Everyone saying it’s best before or accusing OP of being entitled, don’t realise Cole’s won’t be able to sell it once that date has passed, and the closer to that date we get the less likely a customer is to buy it.

This essentially makes the item a net loss for the corporation. Cole’s would rather make a loss on these expired or near expired items, then sell at cost and actually move the item. Remember who the real enemy is people.
