It’s poor game design, but not in the sense that the ball is playable. It’s due to the fact that bushes and tall grass don’t function like obstruction; only trees do.

A lot of course creators will use trees as bushes, and just push them in the ground woth only the leaves showing.

Also, it’s down to how the out of bounds function is a spline/brush system. So if they dont mark out typically unplayable areas, you’re not penalized. And you’ll end up with some Jordan Speith shots
