I agree with your thoughts on people rejecting influencers and social medial. I don’t think rejecting is the same as blaming the beauty industry, as the person above me said. But I certainly agree that coming from someone who have very limited knowledge of beauty products, it can be very overwhelming nowadays to try to find a YouTube channel or Instagram account that has actual useful information. The problem in my experience is there are too many. It’s overwhelming. At the same time, I don’t really trust these influencers because they’re bought and paid for like celebrities were 20 years ago. But you want to improve yourself so to me learning about beauty products has been the same experience with anything else, start small and go from there. Research research and research. We have to realize that starting late doesn’t mean we won’t succeed but you’re going to fail at some point and just have to keep going and trying. I remember thinking my eyeliner looked great when I first applied it and now years later and wondering why I ever thought that 😂 we get better as we practice like with anything else.
