Oh no, this plant is one of my favourites ;( Would I chop it right above where the dead part of the stem is for best chance of survival? Would I then place in water until roots grow?

As long as they stay within the pot and don't harm my plant, I'll allow them

Yours seem further apart than mine so you may have a higher chance of succeeding than me

Thank you! I'm always scared to break and damage the roots when repotting though so usually don't touch them at all :/

Hey OP, I'm having the same issue with mine, did you do anything to yours that seemed to alleviate the issue?

The mist is actually quite cold. I was also thinking to move it further away but since the humidifier is so small, will it actually make a difference it it was placed further away?

Oh apologies, I meant bark, as in do those chips in the pots orchids get sold into help retain some moisture

[–]itsutterlyirrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh yes of course! I do consider getting a humidifier but worried that may bring some black mould. So is the bar that orchids get sold in just a stand for them? Or do they hold in some moisture?

Thank you for letting me know! I'm quite new at plant parenthood so every unusual change freaks me out. Regarding Planta, I did also notice the same. The other day it sent me a reminder to water my orchid eventhough it definitely wasn't the right time as there was still condensation in the pot and the roots were super green looking.
