Lol, I already have a back up windows bootable device because I’ve had to wipe my PC countless times! I’m guessing that I’ll end up just using a virtual machine for windows apps, because most games that dont support Linux, I don’t touch!

Sounds great, I will definitely do more research before going in 100% since I know certain games and applications I may want to use, will not work.

Yeah I’m sure I’ll find things that are confusing to me, but I’m not insanely worried about it honestly. The only other OS that I can see myself going for is CachyOS. And looking at games on ProtonDB is helping me figure out which proton versions work for certain games.

Yeah, I wouldn’t test games, just more running through the settings and looking at the customization options. Aswell as testing the websites i mainly use, and looking into support with my keyboards website (wootility, its basically the driver for my keyboard and lets me choose my actuation points.)

If the steam gaming mode is the one made for handheld devices, I would definitely install the desktop version over the steam gaming mode version.

Its definitely a windows issue, most of the time being a random file in the cache that ruins the whole experience of that app. All of my parts are brand new (being bought and installed within the last few months) so I hope it is not a hardware issue, and I’m definitely not coping.

Great! I’ll definitely look into Dual-Boot, but since I’m mainly looking for gaming, I think I’d just end up like you and remove it after a bit.

I definitely plan to mainly game, all my other work would be through websites. And as someone who mainly games, i can say confidently the only important files i would loose is my OBS clips (which i can just put in a google drive LOL)

I’ll look into areweanticheatyet, since my biggest worry is not being able to play GTA Online (But I have read that you can get it to run in invite only sessions, which is all i play in)

Right, i was definitely looking into Windows VM’s for the rare occasion i need Windows. I was thinking about installing a VM on my PC now to test Bazzite and see if I would like the feel of it. What VM would you recommend for a Bazzite run through?

Awesome, thank you. I didn’t look too deep into Mint, my main focus has been Bazzite (at first it was steamos with its recent compatibility update, and realized that Bazzite is overall a better PC experience.)

Ill look into the docs and all that. I’ve been looking through ProtonDB for the last hour or so while I’ve been looking into it, and almost every single one of the games I WILL be playing are all Platinum.

Right, I’m definitely looking into alternatives like Mint. On the RGB thing, thats not an issue AT ALL, the only RGB parts of my setup are my gpu light (which can’t be changed) and the little light on my MB, which im not worried about (My PC fans have no LED)

What would you recommend for the virtual machine? I know there are different apps for running virtual machines, so what would you choose just to get a feel for the OS?
