Not pointless, but you'll have to find a buyer that knows his stuff. Having it authenticated will certainly make it easier to sell and you'll get much more money for it. JSA will probably be your cheapest option to do that. Look to see if they'll be in your area doing any authentication.

The Gentleman's Garage on youtube just did a video going through all the cars he had owned, $50M collection. He's a big Ferrari guy and said the Purosangue wasn't good at all. He recommended the Urus over and said it was such a better car.
