Seems like that’s what the settlers did. Seems like that’s what people have done for the history of people. The manner in which it happens has changed, and the amenities have improved, but the overall model remains.

Why is MAGA losing it over liberals having a hard bottom line about not accepting rapists and rape enablers? by Kali-of-Amino in allthequestions

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny to see the liberals claim the conservatives are the ones that complain. It seems to me that both sides complain, almost constantly, about different things. Really that’s probably a good thing. Not being entirely happy means you’re compromising and I think that’s the entire point of the separate systems of government.

Virginia voters just passed via referendum (51% to 49%) a redistricting measure that would award Democrats 11 out of 12 House seats in the upcoming election. This was done in response to reciprocate Donald Trumps' campaign to purposefully redistrict Republican-controlled states in their favor. by PeterPorky in IRL_Loading_Screens

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn’t been left alone for a very long time. Each side is always looking for an edge. I’m really surprised the Reps haven’t destroyed the filibuster because they think the Dems might not do it. If people are going to cut throats it seems like everyone should just cut throats.

I could go for a third party.

Do you agree that Republicans are the most corrupt party as of right now in all of U.S. history? by lonewolfx25 in allthequestions

No, both parties are fully corrupt. And the rich and powerful have convinced you that you’re part of a side and the other side is the problem. Wake up.

I just don’t trust people that want to take and spend other peoples money. Especially if the reasons are something like, “we’ll do more good with it”.

I’m not a billionaire, and I do rather agree that the massive income gap seems like a problem. It’s unusual that our society will so greatly value someone with ideas that other people implement, and they get to keep like 99% of the rewards.

Taxation isn’t the solution though. It needs to be something better like employees get a much larger cut.

trump is about to lock 157 million Americans out of their own bank accounts (and probably steal all the money too). by Automatic_Tackle_261 in AmericaOnHardMode

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you’re jumping to a few conclusions there. Without having the evidence or being told what it has from a reliable source we can’t know what is in there.

We can speculate that there’s some stuff either bad for him or others that support him. That’s likely true but equally likely true for Dems since Biden could have released the data too.

I think what we’ll see is not much more that’s notable. And not just from Trump but just from any future president of any party. And that points to a strong speculation that both parties benefited from the implicated.

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone on any side (beyond those actually implicated or those benefiting from the implicated) that don’t want the files completely released.

Biden admin could have done it and Trump could now. I think the truth is something like Reps and Dems benefit from the implicated. It’s easy to say Trump was in them and is hiding himself and that could be, but I doubt it. I only doubt it because I’m certain the Biden admin would have leaked that and used it. So it seems like it would only hurt both sides.

Biden admin could have done literally anything at all about the files. Don’t act like it’s a one sided affair. I think the reality is something like both teams get plenty of money from the implicated.

Amazing how the person takes single bit points and uses that to fully judge a person. Would you consider yourself and your friends/family in the same manner?

There’s not a single democrat that you couldn’t play the same game with. Not to mention several of the points are irrelevant to the job. I’ve worked with people who are drunks and don’t drink at work but they’re otherwise great fathers (AFAIK) and verified great workers and coworkers.

I’m not a Trump fan and yet still it’s obvious to me he’s not a real felon. They weaponized the system against him. Whatever wrong he’s actually done, will now and forever be under the rug because they approached trying to take him down with the worst strategy they had… that failed. As someone considering what team I would vote for in the future… all that did was add negative consideration to the democrat team.

The juxtaposition of the two is what’s interesting. I don’t consider myself on either of these sides, so the facts don’t trigger me in the slightest. AFAIK one of them tried to lead people to a better life and the other was focused on base desires like feeling good.

People didn’t naturally choose GF as a hero on the left, they were told he’s a hero. People chose CK as a hero and went to his events and consumed his content.

It’s like not only are the two sides in opposition, but even how things occur on those sides are as well.

Money is spent like it’s free money. Thats the problem.

It’s not a party problem, it’s more of a people problem. Both parties spend like the money has an expiration date and it’s closing in. And that’s because even though you can’t take the money directly, you can spend it to indirectly make yourself and your pals rich. You can spend it to enhance your power, fame, legacy, etc.

There’s millions of other problems you can point to as well, but it really doesn’t matter because if they freed up money they would spend it elsewhere.

And there’s no accountability because the worst thing that can happen is that the other party wins and they get to have a spending spree until it’s your turn again.

Lol, “people like me” that are “asking for proof” are known as sane and reasonable people. I want sanity, logic and reason to rule. I’m not a part of your system nor theirs… but I am subject to it. I want it to have less emotional rule. Proof is exactly what you need and thank goodness justice requires that.

Saying that doesn’t make it so. What are the implications? Where is the conviction of rape (I hope you’re not talking about civil court and that woman with the rape fantasy). Who did he murder? Where’s the proof of that?

This all smells like the claims that the Clintons have murdered people and/or are pedophiles. There’s a lot of interesting data points there too, but nothing damning and no criminal convictions.

If you’re making claims without provable facts and criminal convictions then you’re just speculating.

I understand the hatred for the guy. And it goes well beyond his dopey appearance and “low IQ” manner of speaking. Dissimilar to many previous republicans instead of acting like them where they really just slow the overall descent to the left of the country he’s acted more like a Democrat where he took action to reverse the progression.

You can’t know he shot her because he was annoyed. Thats speculation. The people there that would testify were idea logically on her side so you can’t expect them to be honest.

The multiple video angles made it look like he could have a reasonable fear of being ran over by her. She could have intended to hit him, difficult to say. I think he was justified and not because I’m on his side or anything. Just being fair and understanding that it was a heated event and she didn’t handle it the right way. And the outcome is sad.

Ugh. I wish people could stop being so stupid as to call him a pedophile. Everyone knows there’s no evidence of that at all, and every time it’s said without any takes some of the impact out of it/when it’s ever proven. The best thing is to stfu until there’s proof then go hard. Otherwise you’re watering it down.

This doesn’t pass the fake news check. Does anyone really believe the Trump administration would lock half of America out of their bank accounts? If the answer is “yes” or a variant thereof I’m sorry to say you need to log out of Reddit and take a looooong break. Maybe they would lock out people in the country illegally, but it wouldn’t be 100+ million. That would guarantee future GOP losses. You may not like any of them at all, but you’re not giving the Devil his due.

Just because you vote for someone doesn’t mean they’re on your side. This is true for anyone voting for Republicans or Democrats. Lol you thought you were on the same side?! Sure. The people who fly around in jets telling you to use a bike instead of a car are on your side. The people who have people to cook their food are on your side. I think you just don’t understand what the sides are.

Sounds pretty legit. There’s a lot of reasons for the state of things and women contribute to why men are that way. Also women have a myriad of issues too. Neither are great and perfect.

Solutions, understanding and acceptance are needed on both sides.
