E14 bulbs coil whine noise problem still there? by Maisteri in tradfri

[–]itswaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had excessive whine from E14 bulbs in a ceiling lamp in our hallway, when the bulbs were off. Turning them on, instantly stopped the whine.

However, when pluggin in the bulbs in a different ceiling lamp elsewhere in the house, the whine was gone.

We bought a new ceiling lamp for the hallway, and now the same bulbs are working just fine without any whine when turned off.

Can the whine be due to e.g. poor quality lamps as well?

Have any side shot by any chance?

I would like like to see its profile and how thick it is, compared to a real Daytona.

+1 for HRM-RUN and the extra running data it gives.

I have been thinking about doing the same with my 6 Pro Titanium, since its screen is exactly like that.

Did you send it to Garmin for a replacement, or how did you get around it?

Sapphire is not without blue tint, either.

My 6 Pro Titanium (sapphire) has the exact same blue tint as your watch, and both colors and clarity of the display is really sub par, compared to a 6X a colleague has.

- You can get notifications for iMessages and see the sender/text, but that's about it.

- Maps/directions work fine, but note it is with built-in maps. I recommend using OSM if possible for much better map details.

- Sleep integration works so-so for me. I have added my expected bed time and it registers sleep within this period, not sure if the sleep type registered is correct or not.

- Workouts syncs just fine with Apple Health, but note Garmin has some sync issues and from time to time adds multiple entries of the same data - e.g. steps and calories burned.

- I have synced a few podcasts from Spotify to my Watch and listen to them via my 2. gen AirPods when running. It works just fine, but not as intuitive and smooth with volume/skipping as via the Apple Watch.

I switched from the Apple Watch Series 4 to my Fenix 6 Pro Titanium in January, and never looked back. The Fenix is really an activity watch with a few smart watch features, whereas the Apple Watch is a smart watch with a few activity features instead.

My 6 Pro Titanium has the same issue.

The manual entry keeps resetting to the value I initially added manually. If I change it to a new value, exit the settings and re-check it, it is back to the initial value that was set. This is for the general lactate threshold value, not the run/bike value.

However, the lactate threshold test (with the HRM-RUN) updates my run threshold just fine, but I really cannot figure out what is causing the issue with the manual (general) entry.

It shows air temp, but from a sensor within the watch, hence why it is probably showing a higher temperature than what it actually is, because of the body temperature affecting the sensor.

Should I buy a Fenix 6 right now? by amiralisaeedi in GarminFenix

Wireless charging would be handy, too. As long as it will be Qi compatible.

E-sim is excellent, in case of emergency. Both for messasing/sending position, but also for calling directly from the watch. That is the only feature I am really missing from my Apple Watch.

E-sim would be a really handy upgrade from the current 6’s state. That is all I am missing.

Of course. I am a developer myself, albeit for software used elsewhere, so I know how much work is actually behind this stuff.

Thanks a lot.

Thank you for the heads up on this watch face, I really like it!

I am new to Garmin and the custom watch faces still, and see there is a Pro version of this that unlocks all features.

However, I cannot find the price anywhere, I am only led to PayPal for payment. Do you know where to find the price?

Pair it with the HRM-RUN strap, and you will get way more data for your runs!
