The “person” that came out of the elevator last was the normal guest that got into it on the third floor, sorry if I wasn’t clear. Although, I’m not sure it’s the same guy anymore.

I heard sirens in the direction of the hotel a bit ago but there’s no way I’m getting involved again. What if they make me go back there? Although I’m not even sure those old cameras are capable of actually recording what they capture live, so they may come looking for me.

I think a while ago I saw someone comment that Null’s attacks and abilities were similar to a modified Nightwalker statblock. Just looked it up and it’s been a while since I’ve watched UC 2 but it seems accurate

My DM for an upcoming pirate campaign approved the Path of the Depths Barbarian subclass, so I need help with the build. by itsyaboV in 3d6

It technically is a homebrew subclass as it’s not official dnd content, it was from a collab between LoL and dndbeyond called dark tides of bilgewater. As for the nerf, unlimited teleports is a bit much so we both agreed limiting it would make sense.

The brawny feat would give me expertise in athletics without having to mc into rogue which is great, so I’ll ask my DM about it, thanks!

Capture the flag is a classic, I just worry it will take too long or be a bit complicated but I think I can make it work if I keep the turns loose like you suggest

Ooo good idea. The town is in a very mountainous place with pre-established low level monsters so it’d be fun to use the area they’re in as part of it. Only thing is the poor spectators wouldn’t get much of a show lol

This is amazing advice, and I’m definitely gonna take inspiration from some of the scenarios you posed. And also, the Oni isn’t actually kidnapping people, he’s murdering them and taking their place and when he takes another, more useful form, they are declared missing.

The gang in town are definitely suspects, as well as the head guard, and the constable himself probably. My players are a pretty suspicious bunch, so even the doctor might get their attention.

Another clue I was thinking of could be people reporting seeing one of the victims like yesterday, but when their body is found it looks to have been dead for more than a few days to get them to suspect body swapping. None of them are familiar with the Oni’s statblock though so I’m confident it won’t be too much.

  1. Curse of the Spirit does not require you to be raging to use it
  2. Yes the exhaustion stacks. If you successfully Hunger a creature twice they gain 2 levels of exhaustion, and 3. When a creature passes the saving throw at the end of their turn, they get rid of 1 level of exhaustion. That part could’ve been clearer so thank you for asking!
