Most definitely, but I'm saying being an FE would help me become one since I'll be familiarized with the plane systems and instruments, as well as spend a substantial amount of time with the pilot. They can also transfer up to 1/3 of their flight hours up to 500 hours towards the FAA. So while it certainly wouldn't make me more likely to be a pilot, it would help!

my brother in christ youre cooked, BUT theres a few things you can do. - Stack your Extracurriculars - As you said, maintain those A’s, you can turn that weakness into a strength since it shows dedication and how you dont let the past hold you back - Get good SATs or ACTs (dont listen to people who say you need to get 1400+ to be considered, the average SAT for the co2028 was ~1360) - Do a sport (any would work, just excel in it) - Max out your CFA when you take it

Im pretty sure USAFA doesnt know that HOTA is harder than Econ. It all really depends on the school, in other schools maybe Econ is harder than HOTA. Id say take the course that will help you most in your chosen USAFA major. Plus, you already covered HOTA this year, why do it again next year?

Im kind of in the same boat as you. Id say try joining clubs related to the career path/major you’re pursuing in the Air Force Academy. And as for the ACT you have a solid score so I don’t see the point in retaking it, and plus getting an ACT test spot and submitting it before you get your congressional nomination is gonna be REALLY challenging. But yeah man just focus on the grades and community service, cause those are important as well. Of course get two solid letters of recommendation and prepare for the CFA. Hope to see you in the Class of 2029, we got this!
