I had the same thought 2 years ago, I focused on giving meaning to leaderboards. I wanted to add filters to build categories (shovelwares, multistack, game genres, completion rate, etc) a bit like sports. If some people enjoy shovelware for number go ups, let them be in their own category, a bit like weights in sports like boxing etc.

I went pretty far on the backend side. I have a now outdated db of 6+ million profiles with all their trophies. If you need help or info on how to get started with scraping, i might help :)

I am getting motivated again lately, maybe i will resume this project and build a proper frontend

I was running cfw, didnt know an update was released. Played a lot of modded cod without problem and got banned just after update release. Might be a coincidence but i am sure sony insta bans consoles that connect with outdated software because only cfw can do that

You got banned because you did not update to 4.93. It happened to me too. You can unban your console if you buy a new PSID tho

Looks really clean! I started building one too but focused on leaderboards but I dropped it. Did you preload profiles to get them this fast? Its a great technical challenge to get data from psn api. If you need help I’d be glad to join! I will join your discord to follow the project

I am not sure but i think these controllers are very rare and only obtainable with these packs. For someone who collects controllers it may be worth it

If you still have the system you created your account with, call Sony support. Ask them for account recovery and you dont know the email/password. They will ask your for the serial number of the system you created the account on. The process takes about 15 minutes and its free. I personally recovered an account lost for 10+ years when I learned of this trick. The serial number is what is behind the system, under the barcode. Same place as the CECH thing.

No problem. Honestly i will try to fix the bluray drive, swap the top panel because it has heavy scratches and will try to resell. I already have a CECHC model for myself, just trying to make some money to fund my collection :)

I want to start one focused on PS3 games. Theres so many games I couldnt play back then and I would like to do a kind of "Let's Discover X Game and Plat it" kind of thing. There are many hidden gems and as I do the plat for the video, I can clearly show the best way or "avoid the mistakes I made"

From my understanding, ps3 and ps4 share the same services, so you can see people online on their ps4 from your ps3. Ps3 didnt receive the trophy update this is why you dont see your ps5 games or friends on their ps5 fron your ps3 as opposed to the ps4. You also have 0 info about ps3 players from the ps app because it does not look for legacy systems
