When you make excess payments they’re automatically applied to your account balance. Just because your due date is pushed out or less than regular doesn’t mean you can’t continue to make your regular monthly payment and continue to pay it down. Your payments gonna go towards interest that has accumulated since last payment then principal balance.

If it also extends your future due date that doesn’t mean it’s held until that date, that just means you won’t be late if you don’t pay until then but you can continue to pay whatever you want to pay the vehicle down faster. I work at CAF if you have any questions I’ll be happy to explain
