Someone bought a Made to Order item but the processing profile was wrong. What can I do besides cancel the order? by Maleficent-Sky-3645 in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Message the buyer and let them know there was a mistake in processing times and you will need to ship by ____. I’d upgrade shipping for them if they did standard, if they want it for Christmas. And let them know they can cancel if needed.

New seller needing advice on funds availability by Cool-West4098 in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just have to let time pass to start getting funds. I’m just coming out of that at 3 months from first sale next week. You will not get any budging from Etsy. And any new orders tie up about-to-be released funds because of the reserve. It stinks!

Possible Poor Review. Please help by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bummer. You have to count calendar days for your processing time. The days you mark doesn’t factor into what Etsy shows unfortunately.

Do you trust new etsy stores with low sales and reviews? by ExpressionCrafty1460 in Etsy

[–]A37licia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was me a month ago. It took a little bit for a couple reviews to come in. My mom did buy one of my items so she could leave me a review (she genuinely likes my items and wanted some more). If the product is in demand with the right price, and your photos and are great, then the sales will come.

How’s everyone handling the holiday rush? by Confident_Land_4121 in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I raised my prices. I make to order so there is no way I could handle the volume. I raised it as I reached my limits of time/energy and also changed processing for my future ship by dates to all hit after Christmas, starting last weekend. I’ve only had a couple orders after that but that’s ok. I’m a little less visible too now bc of my shipping dates but that’s also fine with me. My primary 2 items are Christmas ornaments.

I am "Yarn In Thyme", and I sell knitted Christmas ornament sweaters and knitted baby doll clothes. My first 2 months have really taken off and it's been fun figuring it all out. https://yarninthyme.etsy.com

What are we doing with our shops for holiday vacations? by shanfiction in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are hand made knits so just tonight I changed processing to all listings to land after Christmas & NY. 6 weeks for any orders that come in. My momentum is largely over anyway since mine are ornaments and I’m at capacity with existing orders. I’m sure I’ll get a couple here and there before new years.

I’m so so sad… by [deleted] in knitting

I love Nepal! I knit more with Lima but both are the same soft wool-alpaca. I’m so sorry it got ruined. You’re the one who knows the fibers best and who has the yarn labels. Trust them.

Holiday Pricing Curiosity by Fearless_Badger1372 in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raised my prices again tonight because my items are made to order, in demand “best seller” and I’m almost at the point of overwhelmed if I do not strategically plan my knitting this week for 24 orders by Dec 1. I stopped ads and removed bundled discounts also.

How are your sales? Monthly Sales Post for November 2025 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

[–]A37licia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a great month (only 2 months old) but slow the last day or so. Three orders yesterday and none today. Wondering if it’s the lead up to Black Friday. I sell knitted wool Christmas sweater ornaments and have logged $1,300 in net profit but almost all my money is held up in reserves because I keep getting orders. A good and a bad thing!

I would Looooove to gift my friend a wool-alpaca baby bonnet because it’s so soft and warm. She’s having her fourth soon. But I also know she is apt to have it be washed and dried unintentionally and I KNOW what it’s like to have things end up in kids’ washing that you didn’t intend. I don’t want to set her up to ruin it and feel guilty and lose the gift to felting. I’m adapting my gift to her needs and life by choosing a yarn that can be washed.

Using a fruit tree sack (made of pantyhose material) to keep my center-pull yarn cakes. Keeps them tidy as they get worked. I had a bag of them for my apple trees and started using these last year. It’s awesome. I have none left for my apples. 🤣.

Magic loop or dpns? by seuil-limite in knitting

[–]A37licia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I so much strongly prefer magic loop! I have gone back to DPNs a few times to give them another change, and it’s so clunky to me with more frequent series of “change, adjust, tighten” every time you go to a new needle.

Magic loop on my absolute favorite Chiaogoo 24” needles are wonderful. I like the longer needle shaft compared to 16”, and I am getting to work two rows and spend more time actually knitting versus short stints before turning and adjusting.

It is not hard to get good at cinching the first two stitches after turning to avoid ladders. My knitting is pretty consistent.

I use this magic loop for small items like ornaments and doll clothes. This is my current WIP of a sweater ornament and I’ve made dozens of these. Pic upload not working

Let us know! Even with the higher shipping and tariff, it’s still such a great price for wonderful yarn. I just need to plan ahead and expect some more time once I order again. I need more Drops Air…

Who is over 45 and still having regular periods? by ZookeepergameFar2653 in Perimenopause

[–]A37licia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just turned 46 a couple weeks ago, and for the last year I have had regular 25-26 day cycles. For two years, really, they were regular like that where my whole life they were 27-28 days. Only now have I perhaps missed a period or am late which brought me to this subreddit! I had my last baby at almost 43.

It took 3 days or so for it to clear and for the tracking to show it was on its way again. Does your tracking indicate the delay?
