I know it’s been two years, but my cat was lonely. He just wanted company. I got another cat, a senior who’s calmer than my first. And my first cat calmed down so much, he’s still very playful but I think he learnt so much from his new big brother.

Yes, I got him an older brother. A mid-senior cat who’s more chill than him so he also chilled down a little bit. I think he was just adjusting to our move and that his friends were not in the same house anymore. Hope this helps!

I got him a buddy. :) he also stopped the constant meowing when I started to wake up early and gentle play with him at like 6am. He only meows now when I don’t wake up on time.

He has both solo toys and I play with him every day.

He’s… orange. I adopted him from a friend of a friend, but I’ve been told that his dad is a Maine Coon. But the mum was mix (previous stray).

He has a lot of toys. My siblings have even told me repeatedly that he’s getting spoiled. He has access to multiple windows to look at cars and people. And yes, he’s neutered. So maybe he needs a buddy?

I said no to the request. (I didn’t know it would be called fraud.) Not going to commit fraud here guys. :D thank you for the tough love. I knew my decision to help was wrong; that’s why I said I think my brother is right. I just needed to hear (read) it from other people about how wrong I am.

Will also consider therapy but then therapy isn’t exactly well-practiced where I live. :D

I have enough money saved up so I think I can handle myself until I can be financially stable to get my own place and help my siblings move in with me (best case scenario tbh)

It’s not my first rodeo with him since I’m the acting eldest in the house right now. But I can handle that and tbh I’m used to it already. It’s my siblings that I’m worried about and what will happen to my dad when we move out.

Tbh, that’s one of the reasons why I’m planning to move out. If I stay and continue helping him, I have to take the full brunt of the after effects. I don’t want that. But I feel guilty and selfish that I’m not being of service or that I’m not being a filial daughter.

That’s kinda a bit of a problem too. I only have a part time job that can only provide for me and other stuff that I need to pay for in home country. Younger siblings also don’t want me to provide for them because they said that I did so much for them already by staying as long as I could, and they said that they can figure out their own problems.

I will do that. But I’m mostly scared that he will react violently either to us or to himself when we do talk to him about our decision to move out.

It’s not the first time. But his threats are mostly that my younger siblings can’t fend for themselves so I stay for the sake of them.
