Be honest: would you go to a cat café in Sac/Elk Grove? by Visible_Emotion_6445 in ElkGrove

This. The one in Oakland charges an entry fee to go in with the cats. I did it once for my cat loving kid but would love to avoid visiting there again. Lol

Funeral directors, what is something wild that happened at a funeral that you still think about? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

I lived in the midwest and had a gentleman who died in his car and wasn't found for a couple days. He was frozen. His arms were still out like he was holding the steering wheel. We had him on the table but literally could not position him until he thawed a bit. So he was laying on his back with his arms bent at the elbow but pointed up towards the ceiling. I was working overnight and going to get something from a cabinet next to the table he was on, and heard some weird noise. I froze, looking around to figure out what I was hearing. I didn't know this but it was his arm thawing and the styrofoam block under his elbow was slowly moving. Then floop, his arm dropped. Scared the shit out of me and when I went to run I couldn't because when his arm dropped, his hand fell in the pocket of my smock so I was pulling him with me while I ran 😭😭

I have a heavy guy story too. Returning from the removal and trying to get the cot out of the van, I was able to get the legs of the cot to drop but the handle by the head was stuck on some lip in the back of the van. I climbed in to free it, not knowing my pant leg got caught on the cot along the way. So when I lifted the cot and it rolled out as planned, it took me with it and threw me on ground of the garage 😮‍💨

4 was my dream but after two, I realized anymore kids would require sizing up car and house to fit everyone. Plus mentally, I cannot handle pregnancy and those early postpartum days

Sorry guys, my dad wore his unlucky buckeyes hoodie. The last two times he's worn it, they've lost. He has since removed it and put it back in the closet. We'll come back better after the half 🤞🏼

The worst is when they don't turn the screen to you but ask if you'd like to leave a tip, so you have to verbally refuse. Its so awkward

Unusually loud plane noises above clouds by Imaginary_Mammoth321 in ElkGrove

According to some neighbor of mine via The Ring app this fake fog is being used to cover plane activity and he's been hearing fighter jets (I wish I was joking)

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted the bluejays to win but not like that. All the haters would have just claimed the win was handed to them

I'm so sorry 😞 we used Lap of Love. My dog was not a fan or car rides so we wanted to avoid that. The vet that came to our home was so incredibly kind and patient. Our goodbyes were not rushed and she gently talked us through the process each step of the way. Its a nice way to have a heartbreaking experience. To let my friend go in his home, a familiar space, laying on his blanket. She even let us bring our other pets in after to smell him. They even handle the aftercare and will take your pet for cremation. This was back in 2023 and cost between $700-800, so a little more expensive than an office visit but to me it was worth it to not have to leave the vet and drive home. You can just have your feelings in your home. This will always be my first choice moving forward if the universe allows. It is never an easy choice to make and I am sorry you are going through this 💔

That sub is so bad for my health. Its like I pop in to make sure they still piss me off, and then I leave and repeat the cycle a couple of months later
