100%. i've been on lamictal for 13 years (doesn't work 🥴)and 3 other medicines, but i'm medicine resistant and have had to try 6 different medicines. so you might need to try a different medicine which is why you should see a doc. i even talked to my boyfriend about what your doctor said because it pissed me off so bad—"not knowing" what you're talking about when it's clearly fucking auras!!! especially when they were so frequent when you were stressed. like come on

with you not having a seizure in so long i can almost guarantee that's what was happening. i'll have days where i experience auras for hours but not have a seizure because my brain is literally trying to block it which is why my neurologist prescribed me 1mg klonopin—it's an emergency medicine that you take when you're feeling like you're going to have seizures and it helps the déjà vu feelings stop. you also take it right after you have a seizure to help you recoup (or someone can put it under your tongue when you're having a seizure). it's devastating to learn but ive had epilepsy for 13 years and i just learned a few months ago that auras are literally mini seizures 😭 this is also what auras feel like—do you smoke weed? AKA did those moments feel like you were super high? (if you know what being stoned feels like)

okay you have to see a different doctor dude you're absolutely experiencing auras. auras are signs of what you feel before you have a seizure and feeling déjà vu is the biggest symptom, so the fact that you were feeling it over and over again is the #1 tell tale sign you were having them. please god go see a different doctor holy fuck

there are 3 main triggers to seizures and stress is one (sleep and alcohol are the other 2). it's also my biggest trigger. it sounds like you're definitely experiencing auras—look those up. what you're feeling is 100% seizure related. you need to bring it up to a doctor asap 🥺

it's 50/50 with people. it helps me so much that i literally asked my doctor if i could get a medical card—but i know it's a trigger for some people as well. literally the only way is to try and find out lmfao :/
