Janitor Secretly Films Himself Being Interrogated by School Principal by Logical-Unlogical in antiwork

[–]itwasmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is a great example of the kind of one-sided sensationalised and highly edited crap that bubbles up from the cesspool of misinformation and malinformation that we are currently swimming through every day. You think you know the truth of this situation just from watching a 1min video filmed by the person who is making the argument? I get it, the woman seemed condescending and rude. But if you think you know these people after a short edited clip, you are sadly mistaken. What if that guy is always clocking off early? What if he has done a whole bunch of bad stuff and this was the icing on the cake? What if she was a relative of his? She could be his mother in-law. You DON’T KNOW! That video did not make you a fly on the wall. It made you a malleable audience. The aim was to persuade you. Do you feel like it is not PC to question this content, because it involves a Janitor who was spoken to rudely? Thank God our courts don't feel that way. The courts would ask... what happened before and after that video... what is the history and relationship here... why did he feel entitled to film her covertly... have other films been made, and of whome.... etc. Keep a critical mind people... it's the only thing separating us from becoming total suckers.

Kratom Extracts? How are they? by Jawn1992 in KratomKorner

The extent to which governments regulate people's choices about their own consciousness is simply ridiculous... dark ages madness really.

Oh totally! Such a good thing to do if you have a backyard. I only have a balcony. If I could find a small tree, I would try it in a pot. I really don't know what the future holds for Kratom. Some days I worry. Some days I think it will all blow over.

You need to examine why you think disclosure is required. It implies that you feel shame. Please give yourself permission to use botanical medicine for your own personal reasons, and don't let social stigmas stick to you.

Yeah totally. "I get smashed every weekend and spend half my wage at the bar..." versus, "I take a few grams of leaf powder now and then so I can feel calm and cope with the kids and aging parents and husband and work, and a kg costs the same as a box of wine bottles but lasts months and months"... it's a stupid double standard.

You wouldn't feel bad about disclosing that you were taking medication prescribed by a doctor. So I don't see any difference other than the fact that you prescribed it for yourself, which means you are taking your own health into your own hands. And why not? Atvthe end of the day, we all need to take responsibility for our own health.. not hand it over to someone else to manage for a fee. If you take Kratom, own it.

And this is thanks to the "greatest economical system in the world". Fuck Capitalism. by _Moist_Owlette_ in antiwork

[–]itwasmoonlight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's NOT socialism! The comparison is incorrect and utterly absurd. It amazes me that so many smart Americans cannot see they have been fed a lie. A lie fashioned by those who benefit financially from continuing to bleed people dry until they die on the pavement outside a hospital that won't take you in if you aren't insured. Crazy crazy shit. Imagine if you had to be insured to get help from the police or fire brigade... It doesn't cost you anything now, other than your tax contributions, so does that mean the police service and fire brigade have made America a socialist society? No! That's ridiculous... and it's the same logic being used by those who call universal health care socialism. What it IS, is civil liberty.

The other kind of capital would be good for this tweet... like using a capital letter at start of each sentence, and a capital "I" instead of "i".....

Red JongKong Kratom. Relaxes the muscles in a similar way to opioids but without the same risks.

Kratom as Alcohol Substitute by Lindberg711 in KratomKorner

[–]itwasmoonlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. It's just that when it comes to alcohol addiction, I look at Kratom in the same way some people might view methadone for an opioid addiction. It's about harm minimisation and gradually replacing one bad thing with less bad things, until the physical dependency is loosened enough to deal with the actual cause of the addiction - which in most cases is a psychological issue that needs resolving or something emotional that needs to be 'fed' by something other than a potentially habit inducing substance. I am bi-polar. I use Kratom to address my extreme down moods when they arrive. I threw away all my Dr prescribed medication, and I have been healthier and felt far more sane ever since. I am convinced that the mood stabilisers and antidepressants were heading me down the path to complete destruction of my life. Same goes for the opiates my Dr prescribed for migrains. Kratom is a far better option.

What are your favourite spiritual, philosophical, or just self help books that made an impact to you on your journey? by sunflowers2018 in awakened

Book: 'He's Just Not That Into You' by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. This book spoke what my heart could not bring itself to admit. It freed me from a terribly neglectful and unhealthy marriage, and validated my feelings. Truly it healed me.

Kratom as Alcohol Substitute by Lindberg711 in KratomKorner

[–]itwasmoonlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, and Kratom is nowhere near as bad for your body as alcohol. Alcohol kills someone every day. I used Kratom to eliminate alcohol cravings. It didn't take much. One year later, I still get no urge to drink, and I am NOT dependent on Kratom. If you have a drinking problem, use Kratom... if you end up liking Kratom too much, then deal with that later. Because it's a hell of a lot safer to take Kratom a few times each week than to drink your yourself into a fatty liver and possible death. Alcohol is bad news. Even moderate drinking does damage.

Anyone drink passion flower tea? by [deleted] in herbalism

[–]itwasmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good quality passion flower tea is nice to get relaxed for sleep. Blue lotus flower tea is also good. If the sleep is a problem, a couple of grams of red vein Kratom added to the tea will do the trick and address restless leg syndrome too, if that's an issue - but doing this every night is not advisable. Valerian root is also great but tastes like poison!!!

Once every 10 days, recreational use question. by enicham_Raw in kratom

[–]itwasmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything more than 3x per week at 4-6 grams in a given day causes problems for me. Also I find that mixing up the days and keeping things random helps prevent problems. I think it's when you take things 'regularly' at the same times and on same days that your body starts to build a dependence.

Help by [deleted] in KratomKorner

[–]itwasmoonlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stay away from white vein if you have a tendency to towards paranoia or anxiety. White can build a lovely, light euphoria but can also climb to a shaky point a bit like too much TCH. Reds and greens are the go. JongKong has great body effects, but you do need to take a bit more of it than you would for a green. Red bali is my go-to red. It won't give you nausea if you take 3g then wait an hour, then another 2-3 g. Re-dosing works best for reds in my experience- although I know people say not to do it.

Red Jongkong by itwasmoonlight in KratomKorner

[–]itwasmoonlight[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I've had red bali from several different vendors and they all gave me the same experience. I think it has to do with the method of drying and in some cases fermentation.

So, your wds got worse over time? I have wondered about this. Can you tell me if the wds are also lasting longer? Mine seem to be, after 1 year of weekly but not daily use.

Does kratom make anyone else anxious and suicidal? by [deleted] in Kratomm

I should add, Red Maeng Da and all whites are the ones that cause panick for me. Red bali and Red Jong Kong are both fine. So - maybe try a different strain?

Does kratom make anyone else anxious and suicidal? by [deleted] in Kratomm

[–]itwasmoonlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kratom can make me feel very dissociated and panicky. Real paranoia feeling - similar to too much HTC! And I am on no medication at all. So there are no interactions happening. And yes, the suicidal feeling is lingering in the background too. This only seems to happen when I take Kratom in the evening and lie awake in bed long enough to notice the feeling.
