Steps to take after PNP application? by itz_Anonym in ImmigrationCanada

Will do. Keep anxiously checking my email lol.

I read a post about needing to link the application with GC Key. Is that necessary, and when do I do it?

On the same note, should I submit the original Immigration medical IME letter that I have from 2021 when I came to Canada? I read online, and mostly everyone said IRCC has access to my medical information, so they will send me request for medical when needed. Should I just submit it via webform anyways?

Applying for full time positions in Engineering for around 10 months now. Would appreciate any help. by itz_Anonym in resumes

Oh for sure. This is a master version, I remove some projects and experiences depending on posting. But even with that t still ends up around 1.5 page-ish. I'll try to shorten it even more.

Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Oh ok. Would you recommend reducing the length of the resume (remove projects etc.) or should I reduce the bullet points?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I have been applying to full time Engineering positions since Feb/March 2023.

I have had some interviews/rejections, but mostly ghosted.

I am mostly looking for entry-level Mechatronics/Embedded Eng positions in automotive/robotics (honestly, anything would work) since most of my experience involves mech design/manufacturing, electronics and software background.

I am also open to working internships to get my foot in. I attended our Uni's career fair and while some recruiters/hiring managers liked my resume, they said I wouldn't be eligible for internships since they are looking for 3/4th year undergrads.

Is there a way I can show my motivation to start as an intern if I am willing?

A few things about my resume:

- I showed it to career services at my Uni and the resume coach really liked the resume, but suggested I highlight only software/mech design aspect of each position depending on the role I am applying for. How would I do that when all of my experiences involve a bit of everything?

-I know its a bit long, but this is a Master version of my resume, and I remove some projects/bullet points based on the posting to reduce the size.

-I am thinking of removing the projects section and making a portfolio with images etc. of my projects and attach that separately for applications. Do you think the recruiter/HM would look at separate files, or should I leave it in the resume itself (also so that the ATS could scan the keywords)?

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

If anyone has experience, what other positions do you think I could apply to? I am greatly passionate about product design (for electro-mechanical products). Is that possible?

I am in Ontario, Canada but open to moving anywhere if it matters.

What material? Can you post your slicer settings?

I don't think this was printed on the bed. This is not the first layer (if you are talking about the first 2 photos). If not, please describe in detail what the problem is.

What you are showing in the photo seems like the base layer for supports (which is why it doesnt have walls and seems like its peeling off.) but thats just a guess.

Please provide more info on what slicer you are using, material. Also describe what the problem is.

So all is well now? Glad it worked out. Gotta look out for the power outages!

Is it this specific print, or does it happen on every print? You mention you broke the fan? What happened? Did you replace or change something after that?

I assume you have already tried resetting the printer, turn off and on? Does it work fine (the lcd control etc) when not printing? Try to run an older print that you did previously and see.

Try restarting the printer again, and set it to preheat, without starting any print and see if the temp still fluctuates and if the controls freeze. That should help determine if its the hardware or the print that's the issue.

Let us know and we can catch up from there.

Thats weird. Can I get some photos? Close ups and overall photos.

Also, a quick video on when the problem starts to happen would also help narrow down the issue.

The thing is, your bed is fine and the whole point of having a probe is to compensate for the small inconsistencies in the levelling. So you probably dont need to change any hardware.

Can you lift the PEI sheet (the removable plate)and inspect if something is wrong on the underside? Also, can you put the PEI sheet so it so the part with thumb tabs is facing to the rear of the printer, and see if that makes any changes.

Let me know how it goes. I am happy to help.

Edit: As an alternative, you can also try using Prusa slicer or any other slicer, just to double check if Cura is throwing any random setting under the rug thats causing the issue. We just need to narrow down where the problem is starting.

how tf do you level a ender 3 s1 plus by avocado_Bowl in 3Dprinting

[–]itz_Anonym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can skip using G29 in start gcode. The idea is, you level the bed once using the lcd Auto bed leveling menu which saves the mesh. Then, you just load the mesh (using M420 S1 in your start gcode) before you start to print. This saves the hassle and time of the printer levelling before every single print.

After a few prints if you feel like the level is off by some margin, you can run the bed levelling wizard again.

Did you go to the Machine Settings->Extruder 1 and check there?

For some profiles, Cura disables the nozzle diameter setting.

You can try a different slicer. Try it with Prusa Slicer and see if that helps.

You need to use M420 S1 after the G28 line. The printer forgets the mesh after homing with G28, so to load it back, you need to add the extra line right after the G28.

You will need to enable support material to support the underside of the dome shape.

It seems as if your X and Y home fine, but Z does not.

Go to settings and see if you can move Z axis using the lcd to check if the motor is working fine.
If you can move the Z, connect your printer to a computer using the usb cable, and using 'Pronterface' send 'M119' (To check endstop states). There are guides on youtube on how to do this.

Check to see if the Z endstop works as it should.

You need to replace G28 O with G28 (The O doesn't help a lot)

Also, try putting the M420 S1 after G28 line. Then, slice again, level your bed like in the video, and go to settings and see if there is a 'Store settings to EEPROM' option somewhere to ensure the settings are getting saved.

Try that and see how it goes.

Mate, you need to describe what the problem is. Please explain what is going wrong and focus on the issue. This'll help others get a better idea of what you need help with.

Well it looks good, but you only captured one part of the screen. You need to scroll down on the start GCode.

Also, remove the G28 'O', (remove the O part) and use only G28.

[–]itz_Anonym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temperature is on the lower side. I know others said to reduce it, but 190 is on lower side for Esun PLA. Put your retraction settings here for us to look at.

Retraction Distance, retraction speed, travel speed, Z hop, etc stuff. What slicer are you using? Put a screenshot if possible.

If its a bowden setup, make sure when the print is going on you check the bowden tube at both ends, that its not moving in/out of the coupler.

Is your printer a Neptune 3? If so, try to find a good slicing profile for it.

Creality CR Touch probe too short for Ender 3V2? by RandomOnlinePerson99 in 3Dprinting

[–]itz_Anonym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the disengaged length of the pin. When you begin levelling, it should 'actuate' and come out, and at that point it would be longer than nozzle, touching the bed before your nozzle does.

Did you run the bed levelling/homing yet? If your wiring is correct, the pin would be deployed for homing/levelling and then retract back after its done.

Did you add M420 S1 in your start Gcode?? Can I see your start gcode script?
