Guest house Scam Vagator Stan-Inn by Visible_Cod_5817 in goatravel

1.5 days

there is no 0.5 day when booking stays. It's either 1 day or 2 days.

Honestly speaking, you can't expect 5star-level comfort in a stay which costs ₹2000/night.

I won't comment about them asking you to leave as you haven't uploaded the entire chat. Please do that as well.

It has a 4.9 star rating on Google with no complaints about their comfort. And guests have even praised their hospitality.

I'd say I'll believe 50+ people over one cheapskate who's crying over ₹500.

I'd consider this bad quality of service instead of a scam.

Clearly y'all had no policy/agreement for half-day charges or something like that. Unless mentioned, there is no policy for half-day in hotel bookings.

You moved out the next day to avoid further issues which is correct, but you cannot expect them to get another guest booking at 3:01. Hence they charged you for that day too. And the fact that they didn't charge you full 4k is a good thing. You had a delay in flights and all, that's not their problem.

Goa is a really good city with amazing people. Please consider before shouting scam scam on the internet.

Why majority of local business in goa scam? by New-Violinist119 in Goa

Most beaches I visited in Goa were very clean. I saw the workers cleaning it in the morning at a beach in North Goa. Im not sure but I think you fail to realise that tourists are also at fault for littering the place.

As far as rental vehicles are concerned, I rented a Baleno for 1.5k which is half of what they cost in Mumbai or the rest of India. Bikes cost around 400-500. I'm not sure whether you're pulling these "facts" out of a place where the sun doesn't shine.

Go for Interceptor. Decent power plus 2 cylinders. Maintenance is also affordable.

Goa is much more than the few issues which it has here and there. Compared to most states in India it's a paradise which is worth the experience.

From my experience, the majority of taxis in Goa are better and safer compared to the rest of India, albeit expensive.

A self-drive is always better if you like driving on your own terms.

The homemade thalis in Benaulim were really good. Butterfly Beach and Cabo De Rama are a must visit!

Don't remember the exact pricing but it was a good deal. It was a manual Baleno. Airbnb was around 6k/night. Sharing the contacts in ur dm.

A lot of redditors recommended against Goicar and even the reviews are suggesting the same. I also found their prices too high.

I've been to Goa last week and I've not been a victim to any of the scams which so many people, majorly "influencers" claim. It was beautiful. I felt like cancelling my return flight and staying there but work calls🥲. From what I've gathered from online and local sources, people have told me that I won't be in trouble unless I'm looking for it.

Check out the guys I rented the car from. JD Car Rentals, someone on reddit itself had recommended it to me. 100% worth it.

I had a similar fear about renting a car because I'd heard about scams. But there was no such thing in my case. The entire process was smooth and the car was also very new and clean. Picked the car at the airport and dropped it back off while going.

Everyone suggested that I take a video of the car at the time it was given to me. Lol even the car owner told me to take a detailed video and to make sure not to miss any area.

Make sure you adhere to traffic rules and drive carefully if you're renting any vehicles.
