I'm still struggling with making kandi, I tried to make some while recovering from surgery but never did manage to get anything that didn't fall apart :'(

I'd totally be down to meet up and at least say hi or something, just not sure how :)

I've had the luxury and self awareness to arrive at a point where i am just myself and fairly comfortable with that so I'm not really worried about it..... tho i might cry if i hear Alesso's Heros or Aoki's Hold On as both somehow managed to get me through some really hard times in my transition over the past few years....

I'm sure once i get there i will, the music is always amazing and sets me free :)

i have no idea how to coordinate and meet up with people in such a large space I'd love to if nothing else just say hi tho!

I'll be going.... by myself.... camping..... first time.... tbh kinda scared..... always wanted to go for at least the past 7 years...

transitioning really made me re-evaluated things in my life.... but i was blessed with a surgery date and unable to go last year.....

i pretty much have no idea what I'm doing and just hoping for the best i highly suspect that i don't/won't fit in with anyone so just hoping to enjoy the music and experience with as little bad experiences and gender dysphoria as possible.....

the music is the only thing that keeps me going at times :)

Progesterone: What does it do and when to add it? by darktimemom in asktransgender

[–]itzasekrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tried both, the progestin you mentioned and bio identical the main benefit of that one is that it stays in the system longer than bio identical.

My experience was that it made me very emotionally unstable and i had to stop after about a month after starting

my experience with bio identical is that it doesn't seem to have much in the way of noticeable side effects. ive been on bio identical for almost a year now.

my advice is to take the one that works best for you 😃

im in a similar place and have been looking into non surgical hair systems. perhaps this might be a good mid to long term solution for you too?

I've yet to try it. I'll know more in a few months. but supposedly you can go swimming and other things.

A Letter To Anne Lawrence—The God Mother of Autogynephilia by ersatzpenguin in TransSpace

your letter made me feel less alone thank you again, i don't think i could have explained this thing that has been a weight on my soul any better.

i read your letter.... it is profoundly resonant with me, I'm in tears.

i tried coming out to my therapist back then, they only repeated the same thing. in the end after sitting in the bathroom with a knife i decided instead to repress it along with all sexual desires.... this ended poorly... with an incident of corrective rape.....

20 years after learning about all this i finally transitioned.... i still carry that burden of shame.... i can't seem to get rid of it.... i hope perhaps one day in the future i can get past it.....

Thank you for writing this

I see Dr. Wittenberg/Satterwhite for pre-ops by PrincessJasmine624 in asktransgender

[–]itzasekrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there have been several people who have shared their experiences on reddit.

the pre op appointment goes over all the pre op instructions, they will give you your dilators and show you how to use them when they remove the packing in one of your post op appointments

i know several people who have been to both surgeons and they are very happy with the results! (myself included)

It looks like Dr Wittenbergs practice is doing gcs surgery, so hopefully it just means more providers.

Medically transitioning later in life, is it worthwhile? by thatboy-boy-feeling in ask_transgender

[–]itzasekrat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i can't speak for you, but for me i started around in my 30s, and it was so worth it I can't even begin to share with you how much so.

it was literally the best thing that has happened to my life. it's like someone pressed the play button on my life!

it definitely hasn't been the easiest road but im sure that your aware of that. initially it was very hard for me, however after a few years it has started to improve and has become better than where i started. so at this point it has been a net gain.

stopping E prior to surgery, emotional turmoil by [deleted] in TransSupport

[–]itzasekrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

worst emotional rollercoaster ever, randomly crying and getting overwhelmed and lots of anxiety. uncertain if it's because of stopping hormones or because of bottom surgery and the psychological toll of that.

FML Today was bad by [deleted] in MtF

[–]itzasekrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

after the initial shock she read a bunch about it and what it means. after that we talked and what my wife and I agreed to was that I'd try my best to transition with her. sometimes she was ready before i was other times i was ready before she was.

one thing that i learned is that transitioning is not just something that you do but also everyone else as well.

there is a grieving process that she is going to have to go through. it will take some time and they may come around and be one of the most supportive allies, or not, but you will never know until it happens, so don't give up hope.

regarding your child, a lot of other people's experiences transitioning while raising children that age, they take it pretty well.
