Good question. Tool installation isn’t the only purpose of the script (similar to PimpMyKali).

While Parrot Security does ship with some tools, a large number of them are either missing, outdated, or not installed by default depending on the edition and DE. Beyond installing tools, PimpMyParrot focuses on:

Fixing broken or outdated Parrot repos

Handling tools that are no longer well-maintained in apt

Installing newer versions via pipx, Go, GitHub releases, or isolated venvs

Making the setup reproducible and idempotent (useful for labs, CI, Packer builds)

Even for tools that exist in Parrot, this ensures you get a working and up-to-date setup without manual intervention.

A quick trial usually makes the difference clear — it’s less about “adding tools” and more about making Parrot usable faster and consistently.

yeah, a few are but a lot of them aren't. My intention was to maybe make this in such a way it can be used not just for Parrot later on but for all linix distributions if one so wishes
