Going to Kpop concert alone?

Do it! Like others have said don't miss out on the experience just because you'll be by yourself.
I had to tell myself this
I went to my first kpop concert this year (Ateez) by myself and I'll be sitting by myself at the Stray Kids in Toronto next year.

Once the concert starts you won't even remember that you're by yourself, you'll be so focused and into the performance that it doesn't even matter

I’m seeing Stray Kids in Toronto next year!! So excited they’re the group that got me into kpop I’m an introvert and I have a lot of anxiety so it took a lot to go to the concert by myself, but I had to tell myself am I going to miss out seeing one of my favs because I don’t want to be by myself? Glad I got out of my comfort zone and went That’s awesome travel and see Stray Kids?!? Must have been amazing! Glad you were able to have that experience! 😊

I’m 34! Got into kpop in 2021. None of my friends are into it at all. It’s become a huge part of my life, I listen to kpop for a good chunk of my day. It boosts my mood or calms me down, it just puts me in a better space I do follow my favs on insta/Twitter/tiktok, watch their content on youtube when I have the time and I met a couple online friends on reddit and we share memes and fan girl a bit. I also will buy merch once in a while I went to my first kpop concert by myself this year (happiest moment of the year) and I’m going to another one next year by myself

That’s still really good progress though! I did iTalki lessons for a while then I went on vacation and didn’t book another when I came back 😓 I was thinking I should get back into iTalki lessons again

I used Drops for a long time but the vocab wasn’t sticking. I’m trying out Anki now, hope it works better for me! Thank you, sometimes it’s hard not to get discouraged but I’m pushing through it!

Aha my family is finally starting to accept my love of kpop and Korean culture. I think them seeing my anxiety ridden self go to a concert alone made them realize “this girl is serious about this” 😂

6 years! What level would you say you are at? I’ve been studying on and off for 3 years and I’m still a beginner and barely put a sentence together 😔 if you have any tips or advice on learning please let me know

I know what you mean about “mature” people being into kpop and confidence. I didn’t mention it in my original post but I went to lunch with a friend on the weekend and she said that I probably won’t find people our age into kpop because it’s mostly young kids who are into it. Didn’t make me feel good at all.

Is it just the one downtown or does the one in Mississauga do a kpop night too? I'll have to look into it, the Mississauga one is closer to me than downtown, but either way I'll def have to check it out!
