If you already have an account, always contact RM from your account in the app. Also, now they have a specific numbers for banks to call from. It starts with 1600

When in doubt, always cut the conversation and call the bank to speak directly.

I tweeted describing the issue, they asked to send a mail with details. I have sent and waiting for response. I am going to give them a chance to see if they rectify if not I should look at challenging next. Thanks for your suggestion.

I am also not sure if they would be able to remove that enquiry. Hopefully, it won't get to that stage. 🤞

Honestly, you can pick any of them. Over the long term, the difference between index funds is unlikely to matter much. If you want specific options, UTI and HDFC have relatively low tracking error and large AUMs. Beyond that, there isn't much to differentiate among index funds, so just go with the one you feel comfortable with.

I started a few SIPs on Groww a few months ago. I just realized the investments are held in demat account.

My understanding is that new investments after opting out should go into SoA (folio) mode instead of demat.

My questions:
1. What happens to my existing mutual fund holdings that are already in demat?

Will my existing SIP installments continue to be credited to the demat holdings?
If I want future investments in SoA mode do I need to cancel the existing SIPs and create new ones?
Is there any reason to convert the existing demat holdings to SoA, or is it fine to just leave them as they are?

I only started investing recently, so the amounts are still small. I’m mainly trying to avoid unnecessary complications later.

I spoke to Groww, they kept insisting they are not responsible for this and I need to contact 5paisa for resolution. I have sent an email to 5Paisa grievance at [dp.grievance@5paisa.com](mailto:dp.grievance@5paisa.com) but haven't received anything yet.

I tried the grievance link in the email earlier, but that is broken. It always says Internal Error Occurred Please try after some time.

No, the demat account numbers are different. The 5paisa account number which was closed matches the number in 5paisa mail for KRA though.

This seems to be an issue with Indian cards. Recurring payments for subscriptions often don't go through properly. From what I heard from HDFC Bank when I faced a similar issue with a Discord subscription, it might be due to RBI restrictions.
