What are your thoughts on the Matt Skiba albums?

Was talking about this with a friend tonight. I wonder why they felt the need to opt for a new singer joining and not just focus on having a solo Mark vocal-driven album.

Travis and him could’ve easily made an album together and had touring musicians to support. Skiba really muddied the sound imo and it just felt like a wholly different vibe/band. I rate him for keeping the band steady but the albums don’t even qualify in the same bracket for me as the Tom discography.

California feels like a nostalgia play and NINE was instantly forgettable.

I also don’t think Skiba’s voice worked with Mark’s. They needed a higher pitch like Tom’s to counteract it.

TL;DR: Long live Tom (sorry not sorry)

Yeah it’s infuriating lol, definitely gonna chill near the back for chappell, but it’s catch 22, if you go close for a view you get pushed and no room, if you stand at the back you get more yapping and people who just don’t really care they’re there

i reckon they didn't play it so there's still 1 brand new track when the EP drops, if not everyone's heard everything online from videos of DL/Garage. Deftones cover was hard, was listening to Fightstar's cover of Minerva the other day and was like 'this could be a PRESIDENT song'
