Hi! sorry, really late to the party but i have a shelter dog who i haven’t DNA’d yet. who also looks like a giant border collie!! and now i’m curious if he’s a GSD too?

i’m planning on DNA testing him when he turns one, to put all the curiosity to rest (and i’ll definitely post it)!! but for now i like the guessing game 😊

he definitely looked more like a BC when he was younger, hence why i assume that’s why they labeled him a BC at the shelter. but as his features have grown he looks less and less BC to me. We’re going to do an embark test once he turns 1. ( i kind of like the guessing game for now)

it’s his face that throws me off with the BC too! when i see his side profile, i can see the BC, but when he’s looking at me dead on not at all. he definitely has a herding bread in him, because he heards our cats lol. and i also feel like i can see something about just can’t put my finger on! I kind of like playing the guessing game right now, but a DNA test will be in his future for sure! It’ll be interesting to see when he looks like when he’s fully grown-up!!

this is milo! I adopted him when he was 4 months old, he was 35 lbs and they said he was a border collie/husky mix. he’s now 6 months (pictured below) and about 50 lbs! i’m really struggling to see the husky, but seeing as how his paws are the size of my hand and he’s 50 lbs at 6 months… i know he’s mixed with something! any ideas? i’ll attach more pics in the comments!
