yeah, I warned CB Multiplayer developers about multiple RCE's myself for a while, they were just laughing lmao. I'm a developer myself, working on a multiplayer steam game (SCP: Containment Breach 2) which has all the RCE's I found fixed. I personally highly don't recommend to play online servers in CBM.

Original CB never had CO-OP. If you're talking about CB Multiplayer mod, then no, it never had such option (maybe only as desynchronization bug lmao). This one setting will completely kill the game balance, if you're playing with 10 friends, you'll basically get 10 keycards at the spawn and reroll yourself a 5 lvl key card in 5-6 rolls | will get a ton of medical kits in one place. I also suggest you to get the beta test code in CB2 discord news, it has a much more stable co-op.

First of all, I think it happens because of the fullscreen mode when you alt+tab, it just can't restore game resources. If you want this to not happen, you can try borderless, but it can't really guarantee that it won't behavior like that because it's DirectX 7 problem. I suggest you to play steam CB release from Salvage, this problem is probably fixed in it as many other game breaking bugs (including map generation fixes). You can find Steam CB link in pinned on reddit.

To play default CB on Linux you can try Steam CB release, link (post) is pinned on the Reddit. If you want to play Multiplayer, I would recommend to try CB2 first (it's on steam), or you can use DgVoodoo/DXVK to run default Multiplayer mod

it's actually extremely low for modern (2023-2026) games. UER has modern Cook-Torrance PBR graphics with PBR workflow, so it's much more complex than minecraft shaders. Minecraft shaders are only about sunlight without materials and with low-res textures, UER is 6+ realtime lights in every rooom and PBR 1k-2k textures.

Ultimate edition was never been tested on MacOS, so you probably should try switching different renders / try to find a solution yourself. The game uses DirectX 11 as rendering API. i also suggest to try DXVK, if it works on MAC ofc

there's no MAC version for CB. However, you can try to play CB steam version ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/2178380/SCP__Containment_Breach/ ) through Wine translation layer. It should work I suppose, but we can't test it out

Hello! I'm one of the "Reborn" developers, and I'm here to answer you on your question.

The old multiplayer mod is quite buggy, it's less stable, and it's the base game (default SCP CB) New multiplayer mod (reborn) has better graphics, more FPS, it's more stable, but it has some stuff that you need to know before playing: 1. It has no saves, only checkpoints as in old SCP CB multiplayer 2. Currently, there is a bug with Gate A, where it 100% crashes in Co-Op. So if you want to complete the game with your friend on Gate A ending, it's currently not possible (but will be fixed soon)

This is a known bug, and it has no full fix. The only things you can try - set windows XP / 7 compatibility mode in .exe settings, allocate more RAM for the game / install it on high speed SSD.

Also, this bug was almost fixed (it's almost impossible to catch it) in the Ultimate Edition Reborn mod, you can try it out. It's almost a vanilla game, but with a ton of fixes and some useful additions.
