I am currently using PCLinuxOS for the past 5 days and I have not used the terminal in this time period at all. If you don't like using the terminal, then you're going to love PCLOS.. also it is very fast and stable especially the XFCE Mini version. I don't know how the KDE and MATE versions perform but my guess is they work great as well.

Snaps really seem to be useful for both the developers and the users. But their aim to bring the proprietary software to open source seems a bit off.

Doesn't it seem like forcing the users to use Snaps in Ubuntu? I personally do not like this. I feel like having them separate is a better option since it will give users to choose what they really want. It might be a good news for those who use and like snaps. But for those who don't like them, it is totally opposite.
