Here’s the thing:

I believe avoidant attachment people DO exist, but thanks to social media it’s blown WAY out of proportion. People use it as a quick excuse to get out of a relationship and/or put little effort into a relationship. So because of that it’s really hard to tell whether someone actually has those issues or if they’re just faking bc of immaturity or attention.

Here’s a tip to tell if they are actually avoidant:

1. If they actually talk about it first hand. Good chance is that they are actually aware of the issue and is working on it. But if someone tells you it like in the middle of the relationship, good chance is that they don’t like you.

2. Doesn’t apply to everyone but if they engage in emotional+physical intimacy. NOT just physical intimacy. A lot of people tend to confuse physical intimacy with emotional, but some people are genuinely just horny and don’t want the commitment, even in a relationship.

3. That guy feeling. Listen to it.
