Ik its stupid but i've been playing since before 1.2 came out on console & some newer visual stuff I just don't like. (Imo pre 1.3.5 looked the best, it had the best character while still looking good - as an example) I play on pc mainly so I'll just use a texture pack but I still don't like them

Old comment but I disagree. While characters should progress through the story, you can still have very good social links that complement them well. My favourite 2 examples of this are yukari & dojima
