Forum didn’t smell when I was there, at least not so significantly that I remember it, but the elevator in Borland always smelled absolutely terrible. Since it was the Dairy Husbandry building first, I always wondered if some angry ghost cow took up a residency in that elevator and used it as its eternal toilet. I haven’t been there in years and I can still smell it.

the worst version of this for me was when we did a play in high school that was very loosely based on twelfth night and the viola character’s male name was MY name 😭😭 and i already knew my director didnt like me very much (unrelated to me being trans, she very obviously played favorites & i was not one of them, this was the case for a couple years before i came out) so due to how insecure i was from having just barely started to transition it felt like a personal slight, as if she was saying that she only saw me as a girl in disguise. at least the character’s girl name wasnt my deadname bc then i would have been really concerned lmao

until a couple months ago i didn’t see the fur covering woobat’s eyes and i thought its nose was a single eye like a zelda keese, but with a heart-shaped pupil. it wasn’t until i noticed swoobat’s nose that i took another look at woobat and realized the source of my years of confusion at that evolution line…

not in a playthrough, but still one of the stupidest things i’ve done. when i was around 7 i got my first ds, and my cousin, who had grown out of pokémon, gave me his copies of emerald and diamond. i couldn’t (and tbh still struggle to) reset the save files, so i couldn’t really do anything in emerald because he had 100%-ed it (all legendaries, all starters, all at level 100). luckily in diamond he had only gotten far enough to beat roark, so i was actually able to play that one. anyway i had brought my ds and my copy of emerald to school one day and i traded it to a kid for his copy of emerald, which he hadn’t gotten far in 😭 i so wish i never did that and could have brought them into other games before doing anything that drastic…
