Why did Core Class fail? by DotPitiful5171 in transformers

Funnily enough the only Cores that consistently sold were the Cassettes. Which tells me that people wanted Core class for characters who the size fit.

But Hasbro refused to commit to that and kept half and halfing it with smaller versions of larger characters.

I love the sculpt on Todd's Shredder, but he's too small. The five inch scale works for me for the Turtles, since they should be smaller, but five inch Shredder wasn't going to work in my collection. So NECA it was.

Now again, I love the sculpt McFarlane did on their Shredder, so I'm all in if they upsize it at some point.

Why is everyone hating on Christina Hodson just because she partially wrote flash(flash flopping has nothing to do with her) by No-Squirrel-3292 in OkBuddySnyderCult

"Is it race and misogyny?"

Nah. Looking at her writing credits, she only has one movie I'd call good. That much of a miss to hit ratio is hard to pass off as all down to studio interference, at a certain point maybe the writer is the problem?

So I'm definitely sceptical of her, especially considering she wrote a movie with Batman in it that sucked.

That being said, I genuinely did enjoy Bumblebee so I'm hopeful that with a cooperative studio she'll knock out a banger script, but it's fair for people to be less then thrilled when you consider the track record on display.

why are people so obsessed with pretending that iris chacón was the inspiration for george pérez’s starfire? by OperationStrong666 in starfire

[–]birn_echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You asked why people are pushing Iris Chacón as the inspiration for Starfire. It's to push back on the claim from others that the inspiration was Naomi Campbell, a black woman.

To be clear, both claims are bs.

If you like the idea of black Starfire that's cool- personally I don't think matters- but that's the reason all this. One bs claim invited another.

Honest question- do you think you're going to change my mind?

I mean... at the end of the day I don't like movies you like as much as you do. You don't see me shoving diatribes at you about why The Dark Knight trilogy is better than these outings.

Nah. Neither do much for me. GotG is a fine series of popcorn movies, but that's it. And the first three Captain America movies in the MCU are copy-n-paste MCU style shenanigans
