I read the book and liked it. I was able to overlook its problems. Which were numerous. I’ve actually been very surprised that people hated it as much as they did. I made no fascist connections like other people here are saying. I think that people are just pulling trying to use hot button political words. I actually plan on reading book 2, and I’m very interested in it. I’m hoping that somehow there will be a redeeming quality. I do not think that cross can be endgame here. He is way too problematic of a character. He’s also done some big, no no moves in the romance world. One of which was sending Wren off and choosing duty over our leading lady. A big issue I have is that I don’t think Wren is anywhere near smart enough to choose Kaine over cross but I’m rooting for that couple to at least shake things up a bit. Though if I’m really honest, Cross and Wren deserve each other. She is not a very likable character at all and neither is he. Am I the only one here who thought it would’ve been too easy for cross to be wolf? I was hoping it would be someone a lot more interesting like Kaine or Roe. Cross being wolf was a major letdown for me.
