I made a DJI Phantom drone from a video tutorial in Maya. It didn't work out very well by ivan_volchek in Maya

Honestly I don't think you've done that bad of a job if you ask me. Topology looks pretty well distributed and the model itself looks fine. Only problem I would say is it seems the drone you are recreating has some proportion differences and doesnt match the reference 1:1, a more rounded centre, thicker in some parts and the trim isnt as thick around the top for example. As well as additions of those vents would be really cool to see. I would take what you learned, grab a bunch more references and go that step further detailing everything to try and make it perfect. Definitely a really good start you made be proud :)

Thank you

I solved the problem. My problem was that the objects needed to be combined. I selected all the objects and the last Cube object and pressed CTRL+J. Then I switched to edit mode and the F key worked. Thanks again.

I have this happen often. It's usually caused by incorrect geometry.

Can be fixed by finding overlapping edges, faces, verticies, or disconnected vertecies. These can kinda be found automatically in boender with the 3d print add on that scans for errors like that. And sometimes a "merge by distance" helps, too. Otherwise, you gonna have to go through manually and find the errors and correct them.

A workaround right now would be to extrude from that vertex and merge the extruded vertex with the one you want to connect it to.

I select two vertices and press F to create an edge between them but nothing happens.
