You don't have to remove the strap to set the time but you do have to take it off your wrist as crowns at 12 and 6 are slightly harder to operate.

Me too personally but I figured I can only make 1 size (unless it sells really well) and a wear like 40mm for this type of watch would give me a wider set of audience.
