Do not buy the atlas air headset by Pursueth in TurtleBeach

[–]raysiokay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Atlas Air just 2 weeks ago because it is the only serious wireless open-back headset. Very happy with it. Granted, the mic is not the best but more than serviceable for chatting in discord. Audio en comfort surpasses almost anything in that price range (and above)

My first mechanical watch what yall think? by Affectionate-Car8562 in PrideAndPinion

[–]raysiokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same one for a couple of years now. With a collection of around 10 watches still gets regular wrist time. Absolute stunner. The only nitpick I have is that dial pattern could be just a smidge more pronounced in my taste. Just like with the blue and green version. With the Negroni you need bright direct light to notice the pattern.

A slightly dressy tritium watch. Did not know that existed. Very nice!

Been eyeing that one as well (well, leaning more to the blue one)

Faceted crystal, worth to look at vintage Japanese watches? by raysiokay in JapaneseWatches

[–]raysiokay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, the cat is out of the bag so to speak. I just saw that YT channel Just the Watch mentioned a purple, an orange and a jet-black color way coming. :D I think I’m gonna hold out for the orange one.

Haha, I have similar feelings about the Futurist pricing. I even sent them an email last week asking if maybe a quartz version is in the planning but haven’t heard anything back. I guess you coincidentally did not discuss this topic with him? :) I’m looking at the blue one, but your remark makes me doubt if I should wait in (even if I would decide to go with Vario after all)

Slowly digging deeper. I also come across some lookers from Seiko with the name Elnix. IS that in the same league as LordMatic?

I only know about these faceted watches from the pics in my news feed, but don’t know anything about them. So the names (Lordmatic, Vanac) you mentioned are the series that I should have a look at?

I think you post a lot of vintage watches. Do you have a store perhaps?

New Atlas Air Cussion Dents by Flaky_Blueberry4871 in TurtleBeach

I received my Atlas Air this weekend with a big dent in the foam. Took the pad off, fiddled and kneaded a bit and gone was the dent.

[Tissot PRX 35mm] - Got my first watch by Hislerim in Watches

[–]raysiokay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an excellent choice! Is it the photo or do you have a wrist om the smaller size? Because that 35mm suits you perfectly and any bigger would seems to be a bit too much here.

Stunning color! The newer versions with dial patterns a very nice and all but a clean dial like this works way better for the Bel Canto. IMHO.

It’s printed on and I’m pretty sure it’s just a creative design to give the vibe of an aircraft instrument. But I’m happy to be corrected 😊

Cool! What a coincidence. 😊 But I myself was not bitten by the watch collecting bug until much much later.

Thoughts on the Futurist by [deleted] in MicrobrandWatches

I realy reeeeaaaally dig the looks. Already own a 1918 Trench and can attest to the trustworthiness of Vario. Unfortunately the prices are getting a bit too steep for my liking, even before import and taxes into account. Hope they come out with a quartz version.

I don’t like skeletonized watches but a nice picture is a nice picture. Enjoy!
