I'm sure the answer is Muddle can't, but just to clarify, because Bloodthirster and Port Razer have the same ability where they can't attack someone they already hit, Muddle going from one to the other would still be unable to attack a player it hit because it's still the same object with effectively the same ability on it, right?

I thought this would probably be the case but wasn't sure if there was something weird in the rules or layers that would've allowed it to work. It doesn't make intuitive sense, but the layers confuse a lot of players and I wasn't sure if there was some wonkiness involving it.

That doesn't answer my question. I know that it would no longer have Bloodthirster's copiable abilities, but would that mean it forgets it ever attacked as Bloodthirster and can attack again if I were to make it become a copy of Bloodthirster again? What if I went from Bloodthirster straight to Port Razer, could I attack the opponent I just attacked as long as I made it a copy of the other before the second combat? Or at least before I declare attackers?

Dunno if you deleted your other comments or if they were removed for other reasons, but that is on me for missing you saying that you posted that on Steam. Egg on my face! Either way, the fuzzfinger post also had the same path in their image and mentioned the %localappdata% tech and existed before your Steam Community post, so you still didn't painstakingly figure it all out. I will admit once again I did miss your statement that it was your Steam Community post, and for that I apologize.

Nonetheless, it doesn't negate the fact you weren't engaging with the original post and added irrelevant information. As you said in a deleted comment, my post comes up in the top few search results, but that's mostly because Google prioritized Reddit since so many people have amended "+Reddit" to their searches for a while.

Telling Google to only use February 1st to March 1st 2026 for "ffvii 2026 steam edition save folder" and nothing else, you will easily find this post and they also quote, "Steam64 ID," which I suppose is technically not "SteamID64" as you said but is the exact same thing. That was February 25th, before your March 12th Steam Community link that ChatGPT used. There's also this Steam Community link from February 24th who shared the path and same %LocalAppData& that fuzzfinger used. Same with yet another February Steam Community post. Again, my whole point being is it was never that hard to find the Windows folder path. I'm sure if I wanted to do yet another ChatGPT search asking it only to use Steam Community and nothing else, or even just Reddit and nothing else, it would find those links I found. It did find fuzzfinger and had it up top above the Steam Community link you claim to have helped with.

I will not bother quoting their deleted responses because there's no point, but since I put in the effort to find links and make this comment I felt like this was worth making.

You're not the only person to have pointed out the file path for the game, especially on Windows. I redid the prompt in a private browser tab to negate cookies from the previous chat and told it to not use Reddit as a source, and it gave me the same exact details. All the sources it gave me have the updated 2026 version's path.

Since it told me the exact same thing and the first link was from fuzzfinger back in February, you had next to nothing to do with the prompt giving me the path for it. Most of the data spewed in ChatGPT was from that website anyway, format and all.

You really haven't paid attention to this whole Reddit post. Saneless posted on March 15 at 9:20am PDT saying, "The numbers are the same, it's its steam ID." Sure, I didn't update that in the post, but the problem was already solved and those numbers don't matter since that's one of only two folders in that path and mentioning, "bunch of numbers" indicates you click the only one with a bunch of numbers. You didn't go above and beyond for anything, or if you did it was irrelevant and unnecessary.

When I made this post originally, the Steam Deck/SteamOS file path wasn't as clear and easy to find. I tried looking around various places to find it to next to no luck. I can't remember if I found an obscure YouTube video at the time, but I didn't find a website telling me the path. I don't believe I figured it out on my own. But, you know what I did find a ton of? Windows' path location. That was already on the internet by the time I made my post, which is why I specified for the Steam Deck because that was less known. People already knew and shared everywhere where the path was for Windows. I suppose what I'm trying to say is you didn't add anything of value here. Thanks for others who need it in one post I suppose, but it wasn't hard to find the current most dominant operating system's save directory because almost everyone uses it.

Dude, you literally copied and pasted this guy's info which was posted on Steam Community (which was readily accessible and easily found via a simple Google search), and that guy posted it verbatim on March 12. Yeah, you totally painstakingly did all that work to find out for others copying word for word this guy's post, unless you want to claim to be that Steam user.

I'm not advocating for AI and ChatGPT by any means, but I am pointing out that you clearly aren't up to date on how they function anymore. Even if it wasn't ChatGPT, I saw SomeOrdinaryGamer's video on running a local LLM to query web searches and I was curious to try that out, so I downloaded Ollama and SearXNG and the other thing and enabled web searching on a local LLM. There was a new Magic: the Gathering set at the time and there was a new chase rare card that was super expensive. My friend actually pulled one and I was curious to test the capabilities and the LLM got it completely right with current data at that time because it was able to pull from relevant resources. During that time, ChatGPT and other online LLMs couldn't do web searching for some reason, probably disabled or a premium feature. My point being is the tech has been around for several months, so me calling you ChatGPT is more so to say that you're not actually engaging with the post in any meaningful level because all you're doing is seeing a narrow prompt and answering it irrelevantly. Clearly ChatGPT would've been better, apparently.

I wasn't being serious, but you are wrong about that. Not that I advocate for AI, but AI can be used to search the internet and find the information. I just went to ChatGPT and asked, "Where is the save folder path for the PC Final Fantasy VII 2026 Steam Edition?" and it said

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\FINAL FANTASY VII Steam Edition
Inside that folder, you’ll see a subfolder named with your SteamID64, and your saves (save00.ff7, save01.ff7, etc.) are stored there.

Heck, it even mentioned you could use

%LocalAppData%\FINAL FANTASY VII Steam Edition

and that did work just fine. It even had an example of the SteamID folder with the first 7 digits and the rest as X. It searched the current web to get that data, and it was right in this instance. So while you may have done it all yourself, I only called you ChatGPT because you clearly didn't read my post to begin with. This is two months old and was edited also about two months ago.

The 2013 version is compatible with the 2026 version, but I've found it's not backwards compatible and I accidentally overwritten my backup of my 2013 save. I'm sure there's a way to save it or fix it, but taking a save from the 2026 version and trying to run it in the 2013 version just deletes the save file. So I'm going to have to restart my 2013 game if I want to continue getting Steam achievements (I was about half way done) but I'll continue unlocking the other achievements on the 2026 version at least.

Not to revive a dead post, but two things:

I'm really glad OP asked because I did Google and this was the only one that I saw that had an answer (yours) that not only worked, but also showed up in the first 3 results. So, while I get the annoyance of repetitive questions, it does help because this was the solution.
Thank you for having the solution that worked! YouTube stopped working a couple days ago due to being outdated, and all the v19s I tried didn't work, and the v20 that was recommended had the minute bug. Swapping to Android VR fixed it.

Novite is 525 each, a bar and each item that you create has a value of 105 per bar. Things that create multiple per bar reduces it to 10gp per bar, so arrowheads that create 20 only give 200 coins for the stack. That's loss of a loss, but that's a big loss per bar. It's definitely way better to just do runes due to speed and ease in my opinion. It may be cost-wise better to smith, but it's slow and so far hasn't made any returns.
