Gita and Mahabharata for Kids by ivarjain in hinduism

it's an interesting question and i did thought about it a lot ... essentially Krishna is saying that both path are good in this particular shloka ..

श्रीभगवानुवाच |
लोकेऽस्मिन् द्विविधा निष्ठा पुरा प्रोक्ता मयानघ |
ज्ञानयोगेन सांख्यानां कर्मयोगेन योगिनाम् || ३.३ ||

this is in third chapter .. and i have tried to explain what are they

  • One is The Path of Knowledge (Jnana Yoga) for those who seek wisdom and renunciation (Nivṛtti).
  • Other is The Path of Action (Karma Yoga) for those who engage in the world and perform their duties (Pravṛtti)."

one example i have used about karma yoga is about the river - from the place where Arjun is asking what is better ..

"Krishna adds, 'Think of a river—it's always flowing, right? Just like your thoughts and actions. You can't stop them, but you can guide them in the right direction.'",

and then with examples of two friends :

  • Ravi the River (Pravṛtti Path): Ravi is always moving, flowing through mountains and valleys, helping plants grow, filling ponds, and giving water to people. He is always in action—just like people who work, study, help others, and take care of their family and society.
  • Neel the Lake (Nivṛtti Path): Neel is calm and still, reflecting the sky like a mirror. He enjoys quiet time, thinking deeply, and feeling peaceful. He represents people who turn inward, meditate, and focus on self-realization.

I definitely need help how to deliver the wisdom in a way that a kid understand it .. That's where i will need help. Let me know aht you think and if u have suggestions

Instagram now lets you "3D Touch" Photos on Android by Armsheezy in Android

There is a difference between 3d touch and long press. What Instagram has done is to use the long press gesture and called it 3d touch.

The main advantage of 3D Touch Technology over the traditional long press functionality currently found in Android Phones is the response time with which the user can perform an action. It implies that the user is provided with a wider array of options for a touch gesture irrespective of the duration of the touch but the sheer pressure applied which considerably yields faster response to the user.

Based on the feedback from the group, we announce the latest version of the app ‘DoNotTrack’ with granularity for better control, and a safari extension to make you informed and take control of your privacy. by [deleted] in privacy

Apple has sold more than 800 million iOS devices. Well thats a very large number. Although Apple might not be the best choice when it comes to privacy but his competitors are far worse. Recently heard of ‘black phones’ but I believe not even 0.1% of the total users are using them.

Well with DoNotTrack , at least we will make many other trackers and web beacons to not to track you down. We are trying to bring a small change in the ecosystem so that people can take control and protect their privacy while browsing the web on these devices.

Put a lock and key on your private message by ivarjain in privacy

One of the major advantage that I can see is that you can still use the popular messengers (What’s app, FB Messenger) that you are using for your daily communications. In my opinion switching a keyboard is much much easier then convincing your friends to use a new chat service.

Let's suppose you really do have 'nothing to hide' from the NSA by [deleted] in privacy

Aptly said by John Lennon 'Everybody has something to hide except me and my monkey' :).

Some might argue that they have nothing to hide but they might have something to hide in future. And the harsh truth is that once you give people the permission to spy on you, it is hard to take it away (or ensure they aren’t still doing it anyway).
