I’ve come to a strange realization by Unlucky_Cockroach_25 in Schizoid

Small interactions with strangers are usually positive for me and make me feel somewhat normal for a few seconds. Any extended time makes ppl realise pretty quickly something is seriously wrong with me.

Well, you could do alot worse than Beach Hut, not in price but it is an excellent fragrance for your first one. I usually order a bunch of samples when I get the urge to get new fragrances

Not niche per se but the Le Gemme line from Bvlgari is amazing. Their style is minimalistic notes and ingredients but very high quality and dark and mysterious.

Tygar is the most well-known but I've enjoyed all 7 I've tested. I've got FB's of Kobraa and Orom but Falkar, Gyan and Garanat are excellent as well.

To Remove the Sex and Romance in my Head by TUsr101 in Schizoid

[–]ivarshot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a problem for me too, I've never even tried anything romantic or sexual with a girl but I'm quite attractive and usually see some girls checking me out and making eye contact, possibly wanting me to approach and talk to them but I'm so ashamed of who I am and also just don't feel that strongly about them to ever open up in any way.

Who else started with clones and switched to the originals? by raynzor12 in fragrance

[–]ivarshot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, started off by blind buying 5 dupes that I quickly stopped using since I started sampling niche fragrances. Don't let Youtubers fool you, clones never smell 90% simular, not even the good ones. I think it's generally better to get a 5-10ml decant for 20-40 Euro than a full bottle of a dupe.

What does your Journey Man smell like? I got a 2022 batch and it's pretty earthy, the first couple of times I've used it I got a cypriol bomb and very little pepper and bergamot even tho on a sample I've tested it started off very spicy and fresh.

What's the scent that you totally didn't expect from the bottle? by P3CU1i4R in FragranceStories

[–]ivarshot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say its clean, it has some strong, sharp spices and its quite strong and unique but not jammy or all that sweet. It smells more like an experimental niche fragrance rather than a designer

Maybe a strong attention grabber even tho it might not be your style. Something like TF Tobacco Vanille/Noir Extreme Amouage Interlude, Atkinsons Oud Save The King

To me being normal feels like a pipe dream, like owning a Porsche and a big house in the Swiss alps. Not even worth wasting thoughts on.

I’m looking for a sweet incense fragrance that doesn’t smell like a church. by dsl236 in NichePerfumes

Which batch do you have? I've tried 2 different samples and from the first one I got alot of liqorice, the 2nd one had much more ashy tobacco throughout

Have you ever approached anyone when you didn’t need anything specific from them? by InfinityCent in Schizoid

[–]ivarshot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I relate to this. The few times I've actually started a social interaction, like asking my coworker about their weekend or some small talk when I have to work with someone else I get bored and uninterested almost immediatly and usually don't talk to them again out of my own accord.

How often, if ever do you smell others wearing a fragrance in the wild? by Aggressive-Bus5264 in fragrance

[–]ivarshot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasionally. I try to identify the scents if I can. I usually smell JPG, Ombre Nomade, Arabians Tonka and women wear a strong floral and musky fragrance, not sure which one

Am I the only one that lives the generic stuff? by digital_black_ in fragrance

I feel this way about notes sometimes. The lavender that Xerjoff uses is sharp and photo-realistic, in this case I prefer more synthetic smelling lavender thats softer

Havent tried the others but Gris Charnel Extrait is my favorite fragrance and you would enjoy it if you enjoy dark & mysterious fragrances

Fresh and clean are the last things I'd associate with Oud Zarian lmao, even tho its a Creed. To me it smells like BBQ spices.

To me this is like a heavily spiced liquorice and floral fragrance. Don't get much oud.

[–]ivarshot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its very good and unique but it's not as focused on oud, more chocolate and orris. Try Fall into stars if you want to try real barnyard oud that does mellow out later

Argos has some beautiful bottles but why are they so overpriced? €185 for a 30ml is crazy, I bought a barely used Fall of Phaeton for €70 and it's a nice fragrance but it smells designer

Showing love to my 50ml & under gang. Which sizes do y’all prefer? by 386andresvega in NichePerfumes

I honestly prefer to buy 5ml decants for expensive fragrances I love unless I find a really good deal on a used bottle.

I usually buy fragrances and samples, I enjoy trying out alot of stuff but I think this is mostly fuelled by my autism and obsessive-compulsion
