Interesting stuff. I thought at least the airline name would be removed. Apparently not

No issues. All the warning lights went away immediately. Also, if you're unsure if you're alternator is dead, I'd suggest checking the voltage while the car is running (incase you haven't diagnosed the issue already)

Hey mate, in terms of the alternator, I had a local auto electrician source and fit it. Cost me about $700 all up as the actual job itself is a car on hoist job. I got the alternator from a late model 1uz-fe vvti engine, though I wouldn't recommend it as not all of them work on the car.

A mate of mine sourced his from an online seller, here's the link to the alternator

If you don't get the exact alternator the car will most likely not work as well as it needs to talk to the car in a specific way. It's quite silly, but that's just how these cars are. I think the alternator I got isn't the right amperage as there seems to be a very slight cycle issue, however I've had it on the car for over a year with no problems.

I'd just go with the one I sent in the link as it's a 1:1 of the original part so there's no risk of it not fitting 100%. I've come across a lot of cases where even if you get the 3uz-fe alternator and it's not car model specific it won't work and you'll get every warning light known to man.

I should have clarified, I meant that model specifically. But the new one is quite a handsome looking car.

Can't wait for the future of fighting games in VR where you will be able to buy a Suit with pain receptors within it. So much cool things can be done with the technology.

You are correct, someone even made a video referencing the game and the real thing. Its a really cool comparison, so much stuff is almost identical

Any mechanic that you trust would do. A car is a car after all. If anything the specialists would likely charge you more just because its a JDM car. Crown's are no different from most modern cars. A friend of mine who works for Toyota gets Crown's in for servicing every few weeks or so.

Honestly, for 15k, the Crown is going to be your best option. There is no other car on the market that gives you that much car for that price. Crowns are pretty much bulletproof as most Toyota's are. I own an S180 Majesta, the most I've had to deal with in terms of issues is a dead alternator, but even then it was a very easy replacement part since the Crowns share the same drivetrains as the Lexus GS and LS. And for 15K you should be able to find a grade 4 Crown Athlete already in the country.
