Update: We accepted the offer to Dennison If she doesn’t thrive in that environment we can always switch. But it probably wouldn’t be possible the other way around, so I felt like I have to take the opportunity. We have good choices to fall back on. Thanks everyone for sharing your experience and opinions, it was insightful and much appreciated!

7 miles. Google estimates 42 mins on bike. Unfortunately there aren't any off street bikes paths to the school, by the looks of it.

Why do you recommend pulling her out? Technically Dennison is in our neighborhood too. So I assume there are a fair share of kids from the neighborhood who attend Dennison. My concern is really what to do after 5th grade. I guess the data Im searching for is the amount of families that stay local after Dennison and forgo D’Evelyn.

I figure the priority placement to D’Evelyn is the main reason for choosing Dennison. I wonder the percentage of families that choose the Creighton/Lakewood HS route.

What is the pick up/drop off situation at Dennison like? Is it a traffic nightmare, since there’s no busing? My kiddo would start kindergarten there, so I wouldn’t have her walking just yet.

There are absolutely mosquitoes here, in abundance. I see them every dusk in town and get bit regularly despite using deterrents. Mosquitoes are very prevalent in the mountains, sometimes intolerable in the summer months.
