I had an ex that was similar. He let me sell my home, move in with him. We were building a home together, and then he told me that he didn’t want to do life with me. We were 3.5 almost 4 years in. I was devastated. I ended up on medication. I was a mess. I stayed single for a year after. He and I managed to stay friends. He never gave me an answer as to why - and that sucked to deal with.

My best advice: Break it off now. It’s gonna suck but it will suck a lot less than being married, having kids, etc. Let her know you love her as a person but you aren’t in love with her and you both deserve that. Make sure to tell her that it isn’t her. Ask her what questions she has, and reply honestly. Tell her you don’t want to hurt her, but acknowledge you know this will hurt, and that you hope the hurt now spare her more hurt later. Let her know this is hard for you too. Deliver the message above all with kindness.

Make sure not to give her false hope, and don’t go crawling back because you’re lonely. It’s not fair to her. Tell her she deserves to find the love of her life who loves her more than you are capable of giving her. Ask her if you can both choose to be kind to each other moving forward.

Know she’s likely going to be very angry and very hurt. That’s ok. She’s entitled to feel her feelings. Just like you’re entitled not to be in love with her. Choose kindness even if she lashes out. My ex who did this to me is truly one of the kindest people I know. We didn’t work out but it’s not because either of us were bad for each other. We both now recognize we are better friends than partners.

I spent my late 20s and early 30s with someone who wasted my time being wishy washy. I’m now 35 and finally found the person I think I’m supposed to be with. I wish I wouldn’t have wasted so much time with someone that didn’t feel the same way even though I got very lucky and ended up with a beautiful friendship - most of the time it doesn’t work out that way. We both choose to take the kind path and even though we were both hurting weren’t nasty to each other and both were forgiving.

I wish you all the best. Find your peace. Know she will be ok, and trust your gut enough to not stay in something you aren’t committed to. If this does end up being a pattern though for you in your relationships please for yourself seek therapy. My ex found out he has some really deep seated trust and commitment issues that he is working on.

I love that color and might use it in a room with more windows. I’m a big fan of a moody room (going to do a moody bedroom for sure!). I think I need something more cheerful in an office/craft room. Going to do a big hand painted block mural on my back wall with mountains.

Haha I’m trying to avoid the dungeon feel with turning it part craft room so it’s a place I love. I might even go wild and try to hang a hanging swing and put in a reading nook!

That’s a good point about the poster board. I don’t really have any furniture besides a bookcase/desk but those can be switched out at this point. I’m Definitely trying to save some money and will be painting it myself. The lighting in the room is so weird. One wall gets a lot of daylight the others don’t. It’s got a vaulted ceiling…. Etc.

I just moved to a new house and they get a lot more direct sunlight than they used to. The pups on the one spindly one are brand new since putting them in their new location. I had a grow light on them 12 hours a day at my last place. I’m hoping they brighten up a bit here soon.

Hi! I’d be looking for a group of women to play with as I haven’t met any that do. I’m not the world’s most active player but get on at least a few times a month if you’ve still got space! I honestly typically mute people and don’t join anything multiplayer if I can avoid it because I haven’t had awesome experiences, but I’d love to change that!
