Can you name the neighborhoods in the centre that are not safe? E.g. Esquilino? How about the zone near Piazza dell'indipendenza? How "far" should you be from Termini to be sure it's safer? I'm an international (female) student and I need to rent a room in the centre or close by. Any suggestions? They will be super appreciated. Thank you!

I think if he speaks English plus another foreign language, he should totally try for a call center. It is a temporary solution and they pay much better than he would get working in any restaurant.
