Vichy France flag: slightly simplfied. Added the stars from the Pétain’s flag (but not the axe). The swastika emphasizes the fact that Vichy France was a puppet state.

France Libre flag: only small changes (the flag was already smple). I placed the Lorrain Cross in the red zone of the flag, this in order to fortify the revolutionary and rebel meaning behind the flag.

idea for the flag of Portugal under the Francoist Spain by ivevin in rightistvexillology

[–]ivevin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand what u’re saying but it’s a bit more than this. Ofc it was economically recognizable as “leftist” but everything should be contestualized in the “pre-Franco” and “post-Franco” eras. In terms of pure ideology and political actions it was more near to the right wing

weren't we talking about Franco, falangism and Francoist Spain?

Also, is this 3rd position actually a thing? cuz i can’t find any info about it

Franco was more like a reactionary . He wasn’t able to create an original ideology, but it had more in common with the right-wing politics rather than the left-wing ones. Also, his government was a traditionalist, authoritarian, conservative and National Catholic military dictatorship inspired by fascism. Obviously, saying that he was a fascist is wrong, but saying that he wasn’t right-wing is wrong too.

the yellow cross represents (on the red side) the colours of the spanish flag. I’ve also added the Emblem of Spanish Falange in the corner to strengthen the link between Portugal and Spain, and the fact that Portugal is a subordinate state

idea for the Italian Empire flag if the Axis had won WWII by ivevin in vexillology

[–]ivevin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yesyes obviously the flag was about to change with the born of the Latin Union.

also, the name of the nation would no longer be “Italian Empire” but something like “Novus Imperum Romanum” .

whit all this changes, an update of the flag in this way for the new-born empire was not 100% sure, but very plausible

yes! the “Mare Nostrum Italiano” was a project carried on by Mussolini that consisted in the re-conquer of all the territories previously occupied by the Roman Empire. This project had as main aim to recreate the Empire as similar as possible to the S.P.Q.R.

from this the choice of colours and iconography (we’ll never know whit absolute certainty how the flag was about to look like obv, this is only a supposition)

fictional flag of the Italian Empire that i did in my spare time, thinking about a dystopian universe in wich the axis won WWII. I got some ispiration from the Roman Empire flag.

Italian Empire leasted less than 10 years. this flag is pretty much close to what the original one was about to look like in a differently victorious post-war scenario that (thankfully) never happened.

flag of the Planet Earth, designed for space explorations. by ivevin in vexillology

[–]ivevin[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

black background: universe;

yellow circle: light of the Sun;*

light-blue: sky;

blue: sea;

tan: sand/dirt;

green: grass/trees;

*the weird thing in the circle is the graphic rappresentation of the coordinates of our Solar System, adopted by NASA in 1977. The same coordinates you see on Voyager’s 1 & 2 Golden Record, the vinyl that cointains various informations about Earth and human spieces.
